        the events of tonight had found themselves becoming much bigger than expected.  finding out that josh was faking this whole haunted place after both his sisters have disappeared.  something much larger was in the air.  these–– things out there.  creatures turned from eating human flesh.  he couldn’t believe it.  and when he found himself in the mimes again and saw jessica he blinked.  “holy shit, jessica!” alec ran to her as he saw her with all these cuts and bruises on her body.  “jessica, wake up, come on.”

okay so. jess met mike through emily when they became friends, and she liked him right away. not in a romantic sense, but they got along and they have similar senses of humor, and he treated em right and she was happy to watch her friend be happy. and then she started getting feelings but she never acted on them. she didn’t dare to because emily was her friend and she wasn’t gonna pull a hannah. and she saw hannah obviously pining over him and she was so mad, so angry that someone who claimed to be emily’s friend would disregard her feelings for the sake o a guy. so, she made that plan with her friends to scare her off. because it was harmless, right?

after the prank, jess didn’t have many friends – josh, chris and sam didn’t talk to her, and when mike and em broke up, em faded away, too. the only people she had were matt & mike, and mike was almost like a rock for her during the year in between. he was her only friend, they stuck through it together (with being the most hated, including emily). and that’s when they started dating – they became a solace for each other, and they found  safe haven with each other and it just made sense to take things to the next level.

post mountain, jess relies on mike the same way he relies on her. they balance each other out, they’re crutches for each other’s recovery while also working on themselves, too. mike wouldn’t leave her post-mountain because in what world would that man look at his broken and bruised girlfriend and say ‘no thanks, i’m out on this one’. it’s tough – there’s arguments and there’s bickering, but they stick through it, because they know that – with each other – anything is possible.

she loves him so much. she loves him more tan he thought she could love another human being. she sees the strong in him, but also the soft. they let their guards down around each other – jess isn’t the bubblegum bitch people play her up to be. with mike, she’s goofy, she’s silly, she’s happy. and mike isn’t the same egotistical fuck boy, either. he’s softer, hes kinder, he’s sweeter. they’re such a good pair, and they’re so, so happy together.
