Ok. I watched the first 2 episodes of Arrow season 7 last night (still need to catch up on previous seasons but oh well).
And it was SO GOOD. I can't remember the last time I was this excited about the show.
Maybe it's all the season 1 callbacks that the new mystery GA is bringing to the table (shooting all the lights out before attacking, the police sketch as they search for "the vigilante," the list of names, there once again being a sense of secret identity among the main characters, etc).
That being said, I do think new GA is future!William with the way the narrative is so clearly calling back the beginning of Oliver's legacy for the viewers, and they're already setting William up for it in the flash forwards (billionaire with a sense of angst & destiny rooted in Lian Yu, where his first experience there was losing a parent and second was finding a mentor).
