saw a post about humans fighting in animalistic, nonhuman ways and it made me consider how compared to krad shitting magic and lightningbolts without a care for the damage it does to hiwatari's body, dark ends up not only the more bloody and apeshitt (re: emotionally volatile) but also thusly the more intimate of the two whenever he actually does get into a fight. combat for krad is as calculated as it is conceited, he doesn't ever want to outright touch or be touched (minus the times he's strangled daisuke) since he considers everything and everyone beneath him. he's like a mf final fantasy boss most of the time. dark meanwhile only ever starts actively lunging out of fits of passion; if it isn't self defense, then it's him either being freed or outright breaking the moral chain of daisuke constantly holding him back, but any scrap he gets into is always physical and messy--- he'll punch, kick, or start using his claws, which really does suit his beauty n the beast (beast) role well. he's humanoid shaped, but he's really, inherently Not Human, and if something actually gets him angry enough then the wild, crazed animal bits do pop out.
