(via 12 Pieces of Advice Every New Grad Needs to Hear - Diary of a Bryncess)
Since graduating from college about a year ago (wow, that’s weird to say), I’ve been through the ringer in terms of finding a job. I’ve had an internship, an externship, and since then I’ve been on the hunt for a real, lasting job. Which honestly feels like Where In the World is Carmen Sandiego? at this point.
Whether you have your first job or internship, your second, or you’re still on the hunt, I think these tips will be helpful to you. From one recent grad to another, we’ve got to help each other out. Like Brooke and Peyton or Rory and Lorelai. I hope these tips will help you make the most of whatever situation you’re in and learn a little more quickly than I did.
1. Show passion and drive for everything you do, even if you think it’s useless.
Your eagerness to learn and help will never go unnoticed. In fact, it will probably help you stand out amongst everyone else who is just trying to get by with minimal effort.

Here we are again with another album review and a highly anticipated one at that. I’ve been incredibly excited to listen to this album for the last few months. Spoiler alert, I was not disappointed. I had a lot of expectations, and the album managed to go against all of them while still hitting the mark. Not to say I’m a tough critic, but I’m a tough critic. So this album is an impressive feat.
(via 12 Things I Learned at 21 - Diary of a Bryncess)
I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely not feeling very 22 right now. I’m also definitely not the first person to make that joke. This past year has gone by more quickly than any other year before it. I’m not sure if it’s a side effect of getting older or of recognizing how precious time is. I guess both are probably true. But I’m no doctor. If I were, I probably wouldn’t have eaten all those Reese’s last week.
In some respects, I feel like I’ve learned a lot over the last year. In others, I feel like my life is no different than it was 365 days ago. That’s the funny thing about life, I think. A year can change absolutely everything and absolutely nothing, all at once.
Like, for example, I’m still sitting at home most of the time. I’m making videos and talking to people through the internet. I’m unemployed again and unsure of where my life is going. I still eat a lot of Lucky Charms. But I’m also much more clear on what I want in the future. I’m more confident than I was a year ago. I have a better handle on stress and anxiety. My skin is better. I’ve expanded my breakfast foods to include donuts and bagels.
When a post goes up at 1AMÂ instead of 1PM... LOL oh well. Enjoy! x
(via Podcast-Palooza! Entertainment Round-Up: April 2017 - Diary of a Bryncess)
What do you call someone who sends text messages under a fake name to taunt 5 girls into doing things they don’t want to do? Crazy. That’s how I feel about April, too. This month has been full of so much chaos that I’ve barely had time to breathe. No, it’s not because I’m turning 22 and suddenly I’m old and can’t breathe.
In other news, I have started uploading videos again! I vlogged some of my week last week and it was interesting, to say the least. Mostly because I had a lot of time to make up for but I also completely forgot how to vlog well. So I spent most of the vlog worrying about a wasp in my house. So you should check it out if you’re interested in seeing my life or hearing me drone on about things I know very little about. I’m obviously very good at self-promotion. But seriously, you should watch it. And subscribe while you’re there! We’re almost at 600 subscribers, which is pretty dang cool.

(via I Read Stephen King’s "On Writing" So You Don’t Have To - Diary of a Bryncess)
If you’ve ever liked writing, thought about writing, or had anything to do with writing at all, then you’ve probably heard of this book. Among writers, Stephen King’s On Writing is like the equivalent of the Bible. I’ve been wanting to read it for awhile now, but instead it’s just been sitting on my shelf unread (kind of like the real Bible… Ha).
So when I finally got around to reading it, I decided to share the wisdom with anyone who could use the knowledge but doesn’t have the time to read it for themselves. If you’re interested in more in-depth examples and anecdotes from King’s life, obviously I’m going to tell you to read the book yourself. But if you’re just interested in the general tips and tricks he gives along the way, this post is for you.
(via My Current Beauty Wish List - Diary of a Bryncess)
For a long time now, I have had a growing list of beauty products that I would purchase if money were no object. They are basically all products I have seen on Youtube or in stores that caught my eye but would have made my bank account cry for days. So instead of buying them, I have been compiling them all into a big list that I decided to share with you today!
(via 75 Things That Make Me Happy - Diary of a Bryncess)
I challenged myself today to come up with a list of at least 50 things that make me happy. I tried to focus on things that I could do/have frequently, and not things that were rare or difficult to attain. I was happy to find that I easily thought of 75 things, and could have kept going.
If you’re struggling with happiness or you want to make an effort to find small moments of happiness in your life, I think making a list like this really helps. I hope to go back to it if I’m ever feeling down or hopeless, and maybe I’ll be able to revisit one of the things on this list and feel better.
