Worrying Almost-Wives

âWhat do you mean I canât talk to him?â Daisy said. Her voice seemed slightly hysterical to her own ears. âHeâs my fiance, and heâs being held for something he didnât do!â Well, she couldnât be sure. He hadnât been home when all this started, but Daisy refused to even consider it. Walden might have executed for a people and he might have been mixed up with some bad people, but she refused to believe he could be so cold-blooded.
The security guard had no sympathy, and Daisy ended up stomping off after he agreed to find her someone to talk to about him. While she waited, she sat down on one of the lobby couches. The hotel was lovely, but she couldnât enjoy it, not with as angry as she was.
Daisy looked up sharply as someone on the couch across from her sighed. She knew she should know who this woman was. She also had a D-name. Diane? Diana? It was something like that. She recognized the woman as Malcolmâs fiance. Her eyes widened as she connected the events of the newspaper. âHave they let you see Malcolm?â she asked, leaning in.
