I can assure you that diabetes is a deadly disease and I’m realizing that it requires a complete change in diet, lifestyle and attitude. My first cousin’s husband was lost to diabetes in 2005. He was only 45 leaving behind two daughters and his wife. My dad had diabetes and other health related matters including suffering a stroke and struggling with mental illness eventually succumbing to suicide. Now I have diabetes and I’m realizing the severity of it especially now after falling into a diabetic coma in the middle of a deadly Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.
