set in stone
backdated to sometime in 2015 @dhwyejun
he groans as he sits down at the lunch table, setting his tray down slightly to the side and just pressing his forehead against the surface, his eyes closed. his talk with their school counselor had been just as useless as the one before, and he’s nowhere closer to figuring out what he might want to do with his life after graduation. it’s coming up soon, and he doesn’t even want to know if he wants to take the entrance exams that are coming up soon.
glancing over at his tablemate and friend, jaehyun nudges the other while letting out a pitiful sound, trying to be as dramatic as possible to get yejun to take pity on him. the other student is doodling or something, as usual, and he reaches under the table to shock him through his pant leg, just a bit of ice sparking at the tip of his fingers.
“i still don’t know what to do,” he says in lieu of explaining what was going on, though yejun knew he had an appointment with the school counselor before lunch so he probably knew what to expect of this conversation. “i don’t think i want to get a degree in education ... i don’t want to teach kids, i just want to play and have fun with them.
he sighs again, pouting at his friend. “must be nice, huh? to have your whole future set before you already?”
