After what felt like a shift that would never end, Athena finally was about to clock out for the evening. She hung up her apron and grabbed her bag before saying goodbye to the others who were back in the kitchen. She couldn’t wait to get off her feet and get back to her room. She headed out of the kitchen and was finally free, or at least she thought. She didn’t make it halfway to the door before a customer was calling for her. She debated about ignoring them, but she was still in uniform and that was incredibly rude. Athena headed over to the table, “I’m so sorry, but I’m actually off the clock now. It’s a little crowded tonight so it might take a big for your server to come back around.”
Kyle couldn’t stand people hitting on her while she was working, it was extremely disrespectful and infuriating, especially because she wasn’t able to do anything about it. That was one of the perks of being a bartender at the Diamond: receiving cheesy pickup lines daily and having to smile politely at it, because the client is always right. It sucked, but she had to do it if she wanted to keep her job. So that was why she was now smiling nervously at the forty years old man in front of her who, judging by the wedding ring on his finger, was not only disgusting but also married. When she finally noticed a new person approaching the counter, she sighed with relief and excused herself away from the inconvenient drunk man, who shouted ‘don’t leave me alone for too long, sweetheart’. She inhaled deeply, wishing for more pleasant clients, and gave her best fake smile to the person in front of her “Welcome to the Diamond Hotel Bar, what can I do for you?”
After a rather self-indulging weekend, Nolan made his way to the gym, needing to get back on some kind of routine. He started off with stretching out his legs, crouching down and leaning over to the side. He was definitely beginning to feel eyes on him, and he wondered if anyone was staring at him--he wouldn’t be surprised, though, he had a good-looking body, so of course it would catch some attention. “Why don’t you take a picture?” he decided to say with a small grin on his face. “It’ll last longer, y’know.”
