So to start off we have Sindari ir'Rateg s'Hei (my precious daughter)

Family wise, we are looking at lower-middle class where it is just her father, Taev, and Dhael, younger sister. Sindari and Dhael used to be pretty close up until Sindari began her mandatory military time and went down the Tal'Shiar path. Her father was military and pretty much couldn't care less if she is Tal'Shiar XD.

Sindari grew up fairly normally, running amok with the other feral Romulan childern.

Enter Ralaa i'Ki Baratan tr'Hei. (My dumb Himbo and Sindari's idiot mate)

Family wise we are upper class, Ralaa is the oldest of three boys, father and mother are senators. Ralaa unfortunately was the epitome of child that probably bites ankles just to kill time. Besides going grey early in life, he also got into far too many fights far too often and was basically yeeted to a life far away from embarrassing mom and dad.

He also had a fair amount of friends. AKA people that didn't want to get punched and/or were talking him into punching people.

Now I need to establish that when Ralaa and Sindari are together it is the same energy as the popular girl and her football jock boyfriend stealing your lunch money because they think it is funny. We are working with a single braincell only focused on causing as much chaos as possible and pulling off snarky remarks.

Now the quick version of how did Sindari and Ralaa meet. Sindari was granted leave for the military to go get her space medical degree and four years into that she meets Ralaa (who is already in the Tal'Shiar for reasons that will never be made clear). After a bit of convincing, aka a few Romulan fight clubs later, these two idiots are in love and Sindari is recruited into the Tal'Shiar.

Cut to a few years later, and much to Ralaa families abject horror, in waltzes in their eldest now married to a bird obsessed snow peasant that openly shit-talks the Empire with their son. You can imagine how well that went.

Sindari's family on the other hand didn't know she had run off to join the Tal'Shiar and get married. So in busts in them both looking like shit and trying to lay low. Dhael instantly hates Ralaa assuming he tricked Sindari into joining the Tal'Shiar (that story is also long and a bit more nuanced) . Taev thinks Ralaa is an entertaining idiot and happy that Sindari found someone just as feral as her.
