bugs when you lift up a rock
I have been told that I must take the unforsaken road
Ryutaro Naruhodo, Counsel for the Defence!
I feel validated again lmao
I have a hc that Gregson had figured out Iris parentage or at least had some ideas, but kept thinking he must be going mad from his grief. I just doubt that the close family friend wouldn't recognize the characteristics. Iris has her mother's hair, her dad's eyes... I hc that Gregson even saw some of younger Barok's behavior in this little lady's pouts. But then I saw this gem, while cleaning my browser
THEY'RE SO RIGHT OMG. THIS LITTLE GAG OF GREGSON CALLING IRIS "HER LADYSHIP"???? HE WASN'T JUST SWEET TALKING HERE??? HE WAS ACTUALLY CALLING HER BY HER STATUS, CUZ SHE'S ACTUALLY A LADY!! HER DAD IS LORD VAN ZIEKS AND THE ONLY INFORMATION WE HAVE ABOUT HER MOTHER IS THAT SHE'S LADY BASKERVILLE??? I'M GOING MAD, IS IT AN IMPLICATION OR JUST À GAG????????
My hc is now changed a bit. I hc that Lady Baskerville and Klint really wanted a kid for a long time, but due to some health issues it took a lot of tries and time to finally get pregnant. And due to this history the couple hid their pregnancy, even from Barok. We know how the rest of the story goes, but around 7-8 years after the death of Klint and everything else that happened, Gregson was invited by Iris to 221b Baker Street for a tea party. Tobias has seen her before a lot, since Herlock kept taking her to crime scenes (despite his many protestations). And Tobias has already felt something familiar in the young girl, but now he can't pretend he doesn't see it. Her hair, her eyes, her behavior... It's so familiar.. But how? Lady Baskerville was never pregnant, was she? And while Gregson continues to connect the dots, Herlock asks Iris to fetch them some biscuits, and while she's away he begs Tobias to keep the truth he figured out to himself. Gregson proposes to at least tell Barok, he deserves to know he has a niece! But Sholmes begs to keep it secret. Gregson agrees with a heavy heart, but sometimes slips in the lady Iris here and there, he's a true English gentleman after all. Rare Herlock and Gregson respect and agreement moment lmao
^^^ I'm planning on making this hc into a comic
