This week’s update

I spent a lot of time this week just cleaning up files and updating png sequences in my video editor. I rewrote some of the dialogue after finishing my first pass on the animatic, but still haven’t updated all the audio clips. I always forget that there’s more to animation than...animating, haha.

I have colored some shots just for the serotonin over time, but I’m mostly focusing on rough animation. I still need to do some background studies to figure out how I want it to look.

Other than audio, backgrounds and layout are probably my least strong skill. Originally I wanted to go for a poster paint style classic 90s anime BG, but I definitely need to do a lot of studies to reach a point where I like what I’m making.
This is a short work week for me, since I’ll be spending time with family for the holidays. I’m hoping when I get back I’ll finish the rough animation of shots 10-12. I’ve been working fairly linearly, but I think I might jump around more to keep it interesting, lol.
