Had an idea of Raven's class needing to make a love potion, or something adjacent to it, (Love can and has been used for evil!)
To make sure you've done it right it will smell like something you like, or something you associate with someone you like.
Raven smells her potion to make sure she did it right, and it smells very familiar, but vauge enough that she can't quite remember who it might be from. It doesn't smell like a thing she might like, it very distinctly smells like someone.
She just can't figure out who that someone is, but it absolutely must be someone she knows. She tells her friends about it and Maddie of course tries naming people who it might be, but then she goes off on an unrelated tangent, or tries to help out by smelling her potion, only to realize they smell different things.
It keeps bothering her all day because it's so annoying to have something on the tip of your tongue and you just can't get it!
She complains later to Apple and she's like "Oh, I'm sure it'll come to you somehow." Raven decides to try and put it out of her mind.
Then it hits her in the late hours of the evening.
"Apple. Apple! Oh my Fairy Godmother!"
"What is it?"
"That smell is Dexter's cologne."
"Raven I am very proud you figured it out, but with all due respect it's four in the morning."
The next day Raven just has to make sure, and she meets up with Dexter, and sure enough, she's right.
Cue shenanigans I guess.
