The Kishin was killed. The fight was over. Marie had to go back to Oceania to help with some things. She was the only Death Scythe there. Stein’s been quiet lately, and in a somewhat more unsettling way than usual. Somehow he lets off even worse vibes than before. Madness leaking from his wavelength on occasion. He’s taking medicine. Lord Death is making him see a ‘doctor’. One of the mind instead of the body. Stein isn’t fond of that.

Last week he had an episode, ran off for a few days. Nobody knew where he was, but it upset Death greatly to know that he’d found a little experiment. Some gang leader. Still human though, but in Stein’s mind it didn’t matter. Not at the time. The man barely made it out alive. If he hadn’t dropped the guy off at the hospital, he would have been dead. There’s hope for the professor yet.

Now he’s struggling to keep it together. Searching for why this is happening to him. Unable to understand, which makes him frustrated, which makes it worse. His condition just continues to fall.

For whatever reason, you stayed in Death City. Maybe to help clean up the rubble, maybe to help hurt people. Who knows. Since you’re one of the few left and Azusa refuses to deal with him, Death has given you a new assignment. Try to help Stein stay out of trouble. If need be, be his new weapon partner. Though according to Death, Stein isn’t allowed sharp objects right now and is barely even allowed out of his house. Not that he’s left his house much recently. Just for classes.
