Skeletonwitch are a band coming out of Ohio, USA, forming back in 2003 and have blasted their way down the heavier side of the metal scene ever since, this album marks number 6 in the chain for the lads. There’s some tracks of quite a beasty length amongst the 8 they’ve provided for us with this one, that worries me a little but let's see what we have.

The little demonic growling gremlins are out tonight infecting these guys latest release and they’re out in form! It’s not even about the vocals for me with this one it’s very much about the musical accompaniment, been wandering around drunk at night in Iceland and this stuff was the perfect companion for that. “When Paradise Fades” is one of those songs that amongst the barrage of tones and screams there is a little beautiful technical soothing riff that fuels the trance within my soul, “Temple of the Sun” is my favourite from the album though with it's mighty chorus and full frontal assault on the eardrums with enough force to puncture the bloody things. Again with some of the bigger songs like “Devouring Radiant Light” and “The Vault” Could have been split in to multiple songs.

So I was impressive but if I’m being totally honest with you and myself, when a song takes over 30 seconds to properly kick in it just winds me up and I know it's art and it's their vision but for me if I’m going down the shops in my car or a 15 minute walk I don’t want a substantial amount of it to be filled with intros and interludes. Apart from that the album was pretty good but I feel it just needs something a bit more distinctive in each track to pull them apart from each other.
