The world should not have acted so lenient at the sight of it; what it should have been was be scandalized: a young TA mounting his motorcycle with an attractive female freshman and riding off into the...afternoon daylight should have, in theory, been enough to disturb the otherwise dull and uneventful life at the college, but the fact it was Soohyun (one who was known by his peers to have messed with at least a few of young students from the other departments) was enough for the universe to turn a blind to the transgression. Plus, his companion was Rue, a young freshman who was often the target of junior and senior males' obnoxious and poorly designed mating calls, and one who had already been seen twice with Soohyun.
The ride to his place was not as long as anyone might have imagined it to be - likely because he had broken at least a couple of speed limits - and soon enough, the two of them were in the apartment complex where the warlock resided, climbing up to the third floor where his apartment was. The first warning...well, not really warning, but a precaution, spoken as a flat-toned statement, was “I hope you like dogs.” Rue had been told that Honey was a relatively large and to some people fearsome, but as-a-matter-of-fact-ly sweet rottweiler who was louder than she was aggressive (this of course could be scratched right off the board if anyone tried to harm Honey’s owner; the dog, though appearing to be just another, normal, playful canine but Soohyun’s familiar and was well trained in sniffing out and biting off the asses of low-tier demons).
Then, when they were walking down the hallway, towards apartment number “25″, Soohyun marching several steps in front of Rue, he pointed out that “It might be a little...untidy. I didn’t have any time to clean up this morning.” Then again, when he had woken up this morning, he didn’t expect that by the afternoon he will have been welcoming any kind of visitors, even Rue whom he had befriended only about a week and a half ago. And last but not least, as he put the key inside the lock, and started turning it slowly, Soohyun looked up from the knob to the young student with an eerily composed face - a contrast to the previously stoic but amiable look and light in his eyes. “I could be a serial killer, you know?”
