as her town became busier and busier, with no means of leaving for those who did not wish to stay, rosaline had made a point to try to get out of her palace more. perhaps there were some who she could help, unless they aligned themselves with the fallen first order or empire, as some had. most, however, truly were helpless and she was more than happy to give them a hand. a man she saw walking now had a somewhat shocked expression on his face, which rosaline recognized instantly. he must have just returned back to life. most of them had a similar look at first. luckily they were far enough away from any immediate danger, meaning she could be less strict about revealing her identity. nothing about him screamed ‘first order’ anyway. 

“sir?” she spoke as she approached him haphazardly, putting a gentle smile on her face. once before him, she curtsied with the modest beige dress she wore, complete with a headdress to hide her signature blonde curls and regal features. “my name is queen rosaline durante. this is naboo, the planet i serve. i do not wish to assume things, but i would guess you perhaps might be confused as to why you are here?”

though she’d been trying so hard to avoid... basically everyone, rey still occasionally had to make visits into town to see poe or finn. ever since the news broke that the dead were alive again, she’d been nonstop stressed about the idea of palpatine returning. though she’d tried to focus on growing her strength with the force, she’d become easily distracted and asked for constant updates from her two friends on if any word from the sith lord was heard. so far, it wasn’t, but she had a feeling it wouldn’t last long.

she wore a long burgundy cloak that covered her entire body, complete with hood over her face. as she beelined through the palace plaza after her latest talk with poe and finn, it seemed she hadn’t given enough care to where she was walking. or any at all, rather, as she’d, quite literally, run directly into someone’s chest, knocking the wind out of her and causing her to fall straight to the ground. great, that was sure to draw attention to herself, which was the last thing she wanted if any other revived first order officials happened to be walking around. “watch it,” she growled, not truly meaning her words as she scrambled to her feet, coughing softly and catching her breath. it wasn’t in her nature to be mean to those who didn’t truly deserve it, but it was just the stress overwhelming the peace and calmness that usually would live inside her. “...sorry, just-... i just need to get out of here,” she muttered, keeping her gaze down as she tugged the hood further around her face.
