Allegedly, there's a one-room cabin located in North Louisiana on an old farm that is called "The Devil's Toy Box". The room is made entirely of mirrors that face inward...the walls, floor, and ceiling are all mirrors. If you go inside, you'll reportedly go insane or worse; the devil will appear and take your soul.
Exactly where in North Louisiana "The Devil's Toy Box" is located is hard to pin down. One article I read says it's about "Three Hours from New Orleans". That could locate it somewhere around Alexandria. The legend says the cabin is on "Farmer Graveâs Haunted Orchard". A quick Google search shows that orchard to be in Leesville. From what I can find out, "The Devil's Toy Box" was built in 2014 as part of a Halloween attraction on the orchard. After people started to be hospitalized as a result of going into the shack, the entire Halloween attraction was closed.Â
No one could last longer than 5 minutes inside of the shack. They say the longest anyone was ever able to stay inside of "The Devil's Toy Box" was four minutes and thirty-seven seconds according to the timer that was set up inside of it. The person who set that record inside of "The Devil's Toy Box" was "Roger Heltz, age 52, and a father of three". Legend has it that he hasn't spoken since his "Devil's Toy Box" experience.Â
Other reports say people suffered heart attacks and bouts of insanity. Numerous people reportedly had to be physically removed from the room kicking and screaming.

Previous part here: Musical Inspiration: HereÂ
It had been awhile since Ilyea had returned to this but found that the story needed to be told. At least of the steps that went into it, and the sacrifices made. The enchanted pen warbled within the vaults as Ilyea narrated quickly trying to hit as many notes as possible for the records to the council and herself.
Dear Aurora and the council, I guess itâs time to put more information towards what happened during Devilâs Toybox stuff or at least what I called it. It was because by what I gathered of a sick individual named Coldlight who in his death tried to live through all his family willing or unwilling as he re-appeared over and over again. He was trying to revive them and more through the key which was safely secured. He could corrupt other artifacts and was doing so to increase his load. So his form as a Lich will never go away. His links to the artifacts, his family was fueling him and keeping him in this world. âI do not mean to put this person on too much of a pedestal but without them, without the efforts of their crew.Â
Everything that happened would of been so much worst and it was only them we had to thank. Iâd like to think of them of not only a true Scion but very much a cornerstone of the Clandestine. Maybe Iâll say that to them next promotion ceremony and make them really embarrassed. That may be funny. But itâs true..While this log file may detail how the mystery of the Devilâs Toybox was solved, how Falah was created and the introduction of a new beta guardian named IgnatiusâŠ.this is really about the growth and triumph of Ryssa Ravensdawn and her crew. There were three artifacts that had them going about all the ends of the eastern plague lands as well as the ghost lands and one corrupted guardian. They dealt with homicidal owl guardians that tore them limb from limb and almost set fire to their boat (or did), mysterious music boxes that could make someone turn and run depending on the most prominent feeling there in, a mirror that could bring out demonic features and melt certain aspects and stared at directly as well as a flute that summoned acidic bubbles.Â
Ryssa and her crew gave up their features, their morals but thankfully none of their lives to bring back what Myra had asked for that was taken. Â The Ravensdawn member felt something in her that she was hiding from us for quite a while and was able to break the necromantic hold of the items sequentially. First without much thinking about with the flute and then the mirror, the painting and lastly music box. Learning about her own role in her family as well as what Cold light had planned for his own. They mirrored each other in a sad way but like what the younger member had down, she broke free.
At the same time, Ryssa had found another druid to help contain Coldlightâs vessel to keep him from breaking free. Delnerys was her name and came when no one else would to the Scions aid. With the induction of another artifact at the right time, the phylactery became Falah as the merged essences and artifacts created something new together. A tree that showed its corruption green and wicked through its bark. Serenely containing the fel that was desperately trying to break free.
In cleansing the connection through all three of the artifacts as well as the last one through Polly, Ryssa managed to cure the artifact making it useless. Myraâs voice rang after the ones completion stating:
Completion of second taskâŠ.activation of Beta Guardian, Ignatius. Scions must show willingness to sacrifice and chose caution upon artifacts which are deemed dangerous. Not all require storage and may require termination. Wisdom and caution must go into those directions.
Not much is known about the new guardian named Ignatius or Iggy as we call him, nor the tree that Falah operates under. But none of this could of happened without Ryssa and her crew.Â
Overall: Mission Successful
Notes: Due to the injuries that Ryssaâs crew maintained, a basket of treats and baked goods are delivered every week for their voyage. A large payment of one percent of the dress budget was given as well as every artifact that was touched by Coldlight and eventually cleansed by Ryssa. A flute that summons friendly spirits, a mirror that shows your best feature and a music box that plays songs from your best memories. The picture itself didnât change much but shows a happy scene from a grateful spirit that was saved from eternal damnation.Â
Additional notes: Vamine has shown some note to the new guardian as well as Falah, helping clean up their corruption after the incident.Â
Sincerely,Â
Ilyea Cole (Co-Leader of the Clandestine)Â

Ilyea pressed the button to Logaineâs coffee maker once more, the crystal whirling as more of that precious liquid dispensed into the cup. The metal tin was brought to her lips as she relished more of the delightful brew.Â
The enchanted quill hung in mid air as the mage held her break, giving a slight glare as she snapped her fingers starting again at the story; the quill marched in place to record. There was so much, but it needed to be told. Just in case something like this or similar happens again; then at least future generations wonât be caught unaware.Â
~Black Dogâs Descent~
The move seemed to be ideal at the time when they brought the bowl further down into the vault. Cold light the name had been whispered as much that it was easy to start the search upon it and at least hire the right hands to start the story. Hired hands were called upon to continue the search and various tid bits were clear.
Coldlight was a patriarch of a small family that once guarded the sunwell before Arthas came. Obviously the removal of the sunwell, meant that amount of power went down the drain and so a man with only so little power went with Kaelâthas into outlands. It was there something changed and twisted so.
The informant that was hired proved to run into a little trouble with an orc group from Orgrimmar. As soon as I got the paper back, I knew whom at least briefly whom it was. A group of trained orc assassins that were sent to keep those within Horde that were under the legionâs grasp, cults and other such traitorous activities. It would mean often that such individuals would not be seen again. They were a secretive but fiercely loyal bunch committed to doing the right thing. I know their involvement would be troublesome but the Scions as whole would have to show that they would not be swayed by their power. Their watchful eye was our loyalty to the horde.
But the Orcs of the Black Wolves were a prideful, deeply paranoid group. The Scions  did not pass their test to give much needed information, even though I had been keeping a previous bargain with them about different Fel artifacts. Perhaps they are waiting for a test of loyalty to able to provide what they know.
~Vault Emergency~
It was clear to note that the Scions were still not clear what exactly the Creepy bowl thing did. No one was sure, so what happened next was no one fault.
In one desperate act of his power, Coldlight manifested within the deep vaults finding the key that he sought after. Whatever that was unnatural or whatever it was, him and the key were activated at the same moment locking down the deep vaults to prevent further corruption. All of Myraâs resources were dealing in keeping the two from going further, so various Scions were teleported in to re-activate different fail safes. Of the ones lost within the annals of the records, Aurora, Lyrica, Delryssa, Logaine, two love struck demon hunters were among the group that were remembered as they tread deep within the vaults mysteries. I was unfortunately deep within the vaults when this occurred, since I was pregnant at the time; Myra put me under a protection ward. I was able to watch though.
Dealing with the copious amounts of fel energy and re-animated corpses that littered the various vault records. Switch after switch was activated soon the group was granted access underneath the vaults. A giant thin ghost that was the groups first look at Cold light held a key that funneled in deep within the shadowlands. Under no extreme distress within the group, they managed to defeat the ghost as well as recover the mysterious key.
The creepy bowl thing was put within its own vault to contain the deep copious amounts of fel that was produced. Any guardian and artifact that was no fully corrupted was put to the side to be cleansed. The black empire key that was recovered was put behind deep ice magics hidden once more within the deep vaults.
Myra put out a call to the Scions left to help recover the missing artifacts and the guardian. Little did I know at the time, how much this was the key to unlocking the Creepy Bowl thing.
Ilyea sighed into her hands as the runes flickered by the lamp nearby one of the tables. A tomb being presented upon one of the many workstations within the vaults. The mage waved her hand igniting the runes, the lamp casting a soft green glow over the workstation. Irritation was brief upon her features as she waved the runes once more, the light changing from green to white.
Something about green and recording this story seemed to fill the scholar with bad memories especially when talking about this thing. The mage took out a small enchanted quill and touched the top after recovering it within moon glow ink. As she began to speak the pen danced across the tomb recording her words as fast as she could speak them.
~Prelude and Possessions~
This Saga begins just as any normal artifact might return within the Scions. One of our exploration ruins within the broken isles left within one of the alcoves of Azsuna opted for this as any battleground.  It was an artifact given to us by the Illidari and the Wardens when they argued in front of Erudition. There was a duel to be won and the group favoring the Illidari were to destroy the artifact while the group favoring the Wardens were to study it. It wasnât anything spectacular as far as I had known when we received it, just a plain filigree bowl of Sin'dorei designs. Or as I put it âCreepy bowl thing.âÂ
The Illidari had mentioned that they had destroyed a creature when they were fighting one of the various Legion invasions, and this was left behind. Since it was upon the border of the two factions; they needed a neutral organization to determine what to do. It was decided by the Scions considering our small foothold within the land. The duels were fierce and harsh, but the Illidari group had finished quite easily after a small hiccup winning the rite to destroy the artifact. Glaives and other weapons were present upon the root but it could not be severed. Each slice was regenerated as quickly as it had come across. The Illidari mentioned to let us know of the research we had come across with the intention for our records, and thus it was within our possession. The indestructible creepy bowl thing.
I didnât have much time to look into the artifact so it was put within the general depot and promptly forgotten about. The Scions do get a lot of artifacts and while I am in the vault most of the times, there are things that seem hidden. Myra, our general guardian keeps bringing up newer and newer artifacts and even though I get help with Sorenar with some of the time; itâs still not enough to account for everything.
Nothing could of prepared me though for what came next however.
I do not say I can remember much of what happened during these next few events. Those that are close to me have stated that I was possessed briefly for this time by someone named Coldlight whom we did not realize at the time came from the creepy bowl thing. The spirit was attempting to get another artifact within the vault that seemed to have deep seated necromantic powers that had subtle ties to the Black Empire. One that had appeared within our vaults that was unseen to most living eyes.
My possession was merely a ruse to get the spirits out the first time, and for the artifacts that he had corrupted to exit with one of the many vault guardians that existed. It wasnât noticed until the end of one of his games that things were slowly changing. His corruption, our vaults where all coming to a head. Typically spirits that wish harm are usually muted due to the nature of the artifacts that the Scions possess, but Coldlight was clever in affecting one of the many guardians that lined the vaults. It flew unmarred by the wards in and out ferrying three other artifacts that Coldlight had infected.
I do admit I was not as worried about it at the time for typically when an artifact goes within the deep vaults that the Scions carry, we usually do not see it unless we wish to. This one unfortunately had other plans.
The artifacts he corrupted, the vaults he continued to corrupt. This Cold light whom lived within this creepy bowl seemed obsessed with this *key*, that the Scions had no record of existing.
The child giggled aimlessly at the two, her form bouncing from one foot to another in apparently glee. âOh! Do you have a body I can return to? Cold light said that I could use one to help him in this world. Or perhaps something. Like a pretty trinket. Something pretty like a ring, or a music boxâŠOne that does different things. I was supposed to have one but I was taken away before even that could happen and now I canât even go free.
â Cold light told me about you.â The child added turning to Dommane â How you helped the others escape? If I do that to youâŠ..could you help me as well?â The child asked quickly looking as if to hug Dommane. Her actions seemed more desperate in a way, turning upon each female deciding which one would be a better vessel going for the closest one nearby.
The mask of the spirit seemed to be simply just that. Desperation filled with a vulgar rage of being imprisoned encompassed the thing fully.

Something sinister this way comes, or is coming. The whispers of fanatics and those sensitive to such things will always know what is happen, or when itâs happening.
Or if itâs already happened.
The name garners chaos or fear or perhaps a mixture of both with a small quelling of light focused and fel radiation. A child appears not unlike the spirit following the Dom but one that feels a bit off. Green eyes glow to the pitch of almost dark black that seemed to materialize out of no where within Erudition.Â
âCold light freed me but now I have nobody to return to. Can I have somethingâŠ.anything please?â It chittered in a breathless way the spirits do, glancing to Dommane occasionally with a fleeting look. Ryssa was also given wavering looks of child like innocence. Though mostly focused upon the goggle wearing female âI heard you helped the others, can you please help me?â
