Ozma and Dorothy
One thing I will say is that Ozma and the OG Dorothy were besties. Thick as thieves, practically sisters, the best of friends. Some could even argue that Ozma was in love with Dorothy, though her feelings were not recuperated in a romantic manner.
She tried to convince Dorothy to stay in OZ multiple times, even inviting her family to come aswell. But Dorothy declined her each time. Ozma is the only one who knows Dorothy’s reasoning and knows Dorothy’s final words as she died in Ozma’s bed at the age of 92.
Ozma still makes references to Dorothy as if it was just yesterday they were playing together and causing trouble together. She has to catch herself from going to far down her reminiscing, as she can make herself quite depressed thinking about her friend’s death. But she still made the decree to call newcomers from the human world ‘Dorothy’ and refers to the human world as ‘Dorothy’s / her world’. It just shows you how much Ozma truly loved Dorothy, romantically or platonicly.
