Crimbo limbo, grab bags, and a hint of 2024
So. Recently we were exposed to the phrase 'crimbo limbo' for the first time, and, truth be told, we loved it. It's just such a fun thing to say! But, while the term might technically apply to the current week, personally, we sorta feel like the entire month of December qualifies, only in a different way. While the Brits (and the rest of us, too, just without the nifty nickname) are celebrating their limbo with a whole lot of lazy, non-scheduled fun, doing whatever in the heck they might feel like doing, it seems to us the rest of the month exists in a different sort of limbo, the kind that is all about Crimbo--discussing it, planning for it, celebrating it--while the rest of life takes a far distant backseat. At least, that's our excuse for why we mostly dropped off the face of the earth the past few weeks! We've missed being around, though, so we're going to try to get ourselves back on track.
Thankfully, the grab bag challenge has rolled right along, and most of our prompts have been claimed at this point. But, we do still have a few left for the taking, and there are still several days left in the month, so there's still time for you to pick a number and join in the fun. We've updated the image in our pinned post, but just to make it simple, we'll say we've still got numbers 2, 3, 10, 13, 21, 22, & 25 available if you'd like to give it a go. Just let us know which number you'd like, and we'll give you a prompt!
Lastly, as we've discussed, our Developing Drabbles challenge will come to an end this month, but we're not getting out of the prompt business. Next year, we'll be providing simple prompts in the form of an ongoing bingo challenge. Details coming next week, so stay tuned!
