[August 16&17, 2014] DevCup 2014 #WebGeekDevCup
DevCup is WebGeek's annual hackathon that showcases today's programmer's skills by innovating and creating new apps based on the theme. Now on it's third cycle, DevCup attracts 300+ participants among 62 groups producing 48 great apps(2013), and is one of the biggest hackathons in the country.
Last year's winning app Overdrive is real-time collaborative programming via SublimeText using Google Docs by Marte Soliza and Mark Steve Samson, winners received PHP50,000 cash prize. Mango.js and Fasci-nation came in second and third place respectively.
WebGeek is an online community of programmers, developers, and tech enthusiasts in the Philippines streaming across web and mobile platforms. WebGeek provides a venue for tech forums, and is among top-visited sites for events and news on the tech community. WebGeek has been finalists for the 12th Philippine Web Awards and the 2010 Philippine Blog Awards.
