The month of June marked Deucey's birthday. This year she is 10 years old!

Ten years ago @obsidian-metalhead and I were in odessa at a 7-11. It was unbelievably hot. Suddenly, we heard this yowling from somewhere in the parking lot and lo and behold on the sizzling hot pavement, hiding under a car, was a tiny black poof ball, crying her head off.

@obsidian-metalhead chased her down, we took her home and cleaned her up, and she has survived 4 moves, skunks, & raccoons.

She is my big beautiful huntress.

We had a bit of drama this morning. Deucey came through the bedroom window with something in her mouth.

I didn't have my glasses on but it looked like a big bug. She lost it and got it back again a couple of times before jumping back onto the bed. She acted like she was going to eat it and then decided no she was going to present it to me only she decided to bring it over and try to put it in my lap. That was with the bug saw its chance and made a desperate attempt to run away and tried to run up the sleeve of my t-shirt. I jumped up screaming and flailing and flowing the bug God knows where.

Deucey began to cry and I tried to point her in the general direction where I thought the bug had gone, but after a few minutes, it was obviously a lost cause and she wandered back outside again.

10 minutes later I felt insect legs crawling up my back and I peeled off my shirt and flung it again. By the way, the t-shirt in question was the one and only Hollywood Undead shirt that I still have that I used to sleep in.
