#desu3 task

The temperature had fallen overnight, to the point that Nana had unrolled her sleeves in the night. It had to be from the water blanketing the city and blocking the sunlight above them. She slept in as long as she could before leaving the shelter, hunger gnawing at her stomach as she walked.

She couldn't bring herself to take any more rations from the shelter. There were more worthy people who needed those things, people who couldn't defend themselves and would likely remain there until they were forced to leave for some reason or another. Someone like her who had been granted with the power to summon demons deserved to remain on the outside and to fend for herself.

Her goal for today was the wall of water.

She hadn't seen her mother's name on the check-in list at the shelter. Her mother, who worked in that part of Tokyo where it ceased being skyscrapers and became rows of houses, always left for work before she woke up. By the time Nana had awoke the previous day, the world around them had already flooded.

It was entirely likely that the elder Samurakami had drowned. Somehow, Nana found herself accepting this fact without argument. She'd already lost one parent, so another one killed senselessly was nothing new. But maybe the barrier encompassed that part of the city where her mother worked. Maybe she just hadn't gone to the same shelter she had. Maybe they could protect each other.

But she couldn't find that out without reaching the wall of water.

Sleeping on the car wasn't the best thing, either. They had managed to convince Kazuo to stay, although they were not able to fully convince the other male about their circumstances now... but that was alright. He wouldn't believe either, but with time they'd give up in trying to find another possible explanation.

It seems he wasn't the first to wake up, finding Noah absent from the van. There was some food they had brought with them, so Kuro couldn't think of a reason for why the other had to leave so early in the morning. Thinking too much about it wouldn't bring anything, so it'd be best if he just dealt with the situation at hand for now. Kazuo seemed better and more cheerful at night, and they were sure he could start trying to walk properly the following morning. It was time for them to check if their assumptions were true. 

- "Hey" He gently touched Kazuo's shoulder on the back seat, unsure if he was going to wake up instantly. He repeated the act, now a bit more intently. "Kazuo.

... Wake up, Kazuo."

They did need to talk, and decide what to do for the day. 

- "...Ah. You're awake. How are you feeling?"

Ami slightly narrowed her eyes as she looked up at the sky. It was still there. It being what Ami only could assume to be water, and an awfully lot of it at that. Somehow, the thought of being trapped was far more scary than the demons she had encountered the other day. She just wanted to go home. What had happened to her normal live?

Yearning for her own bed, Ami had said farewell to Niko and parted their ways after leaving the shelter. They barely had escaped death together only yesterday. If Ami hadn't been able to summon that... demon-thingy they never would have made it out alive. She had no idea for how long she had stared at the screen of her cell phone, just slowly taking in the fact that she could summon a demon now. She still barely believed it. 

After an hour or so of walking, Ami couldn't take another step. Her stomach made the loudest noise possible as she leaned against a wall of an abandoned street. As she closed her eyes for a little bit she wonder how Nana was doing, assuming she still was alive of course. Thinking back of what had happened and how Ami had abandoned Nana, made Ami feel ever worse. Nana had to be alive. She just had to!

Ami opened her eyes again when her cell phone received a message. She didn't even take her cell phone out of her pocket to check. Whatever this Nicaea-thingy was, she wanted to have nothing to do with it. A dry laugh escaped her lips as she looked up at the sky again.

 Rise and shine, you brats! ☆ Things are getting a little hairy outside, but Carpe Diem and all that, right? Right!  Also note: A stinky little shit was caught fumbling in our databases last night so, to be fair, my Master gave me the a-okay to release some cool new features ahead of schedule! Be grateful he was so merciful on you, punk, because if it were me I would've chopped you to pieces! Chop, chop, slice, slice!☆

So without further ado... Here are Tico(α)’s key terms to remember today!☆ Demon Auction, Demon_Fusion.exe, Macca Let's start off with the Demon Auction! If you've been a smart cookie and keeping up with your phone, then surely you've all noticed those Macca numbers racking up, yeah? Macca is the demon's currency and the more you have the more powerful demons you can buy out at the Demon Auction!☆ It's not so different from what you humans in your world do, so I think that's enough for this explanation.

Onto discussing Demon_Fusion.exe! It's a prototype program accessible from your Nicaea(α) menu, but with this you can combine and fuse demons!☆ Of course, you might not get the desired result since we're still under maintenance, but do try to give it a go if you have a couple demons you wanna experiment with! The final outcome might be something incredible!☆

Kasuga Ichiro had only been hoping to survive by using numbers as a sense of extra security--by putting trust in the group around him, and rounding up those with enough sensible justice to stand up to the vicious demons, he was sure that they could over come the ordeal placed upon them now--One of the Devas, the Seven Lucky Gods of Japan, Bishamonten, had forsaken the country, knowing its full demise only stalled for the time being. He saw no point in delaying the inevitable and with a loud bellow he turned his spear on the people. It was with his abandonment that came the ultimate misfortune for the group whom had hoped to pray for their safety and protection from the deities that had always served them for generations, but swiftly they were put down; no more a simple quarrel than a boot had with a line of ants. 

Seeing such destructive power, the group around Ichiro had fell to ruin and panic, abandoning their seemingly unshaken resolve and resorting to saving their own skins, leaving the young man with only a deep sated betrayal as he now stood alone with his demons... "Child of Man! Look around you; Your comrades have abandoned you and you stand alone with only the damned beasts that have purged this dead country! I sympathize given the ruination of your race in this time of tragedy; Allow me to hand you your untimely end in pity for your anguishing soul!" And with that Bishamonten brought down his spear in a relentless attack, filling the area in a widening blast from the after shock, filling the park with clearing smoke and dust.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Upon Tsukino and Reizuki's arrival at Yoyogi Park however, it was already too late--they were forced to watch in horror as Ichiro was struck down, falling to the bloody demise that had been predicted in the Death Clip provided to them by Tico(α). They had failed to alter his fate and now they were forced to face the very demon that slain their potential friend... Tsukino was reckless for the most part in part to her unstable emotions from witnessing Ichiro's death, but Reizuki was there at her side to keep her in check at all times, both Garm and Gagyson working with what they had in their arsenal to both bring down Bishamonten from his rage and protect their tamers as well. The battle was long and lasted into the night, but with their newly formed partnership, the two unlikely duo managed to smite Bishamonten and stop him from proceeding with the destruction of the already broken city. They were worn and weary, but the fallen deity reminded them of thus: "This is only the beginning of the terrors that await you, Children of Man. Demons are not the only monsters that which you should fear, hahaha! But if you continue to be strong, the fate of the country surely will lie solely in your hands! Let's see how you will fare against the rest of the Gods! Farewell!" ----------------------------------------------------------------------

 Kasuga Ichiro is now dead!☆ 10 Survivors still remain, and Day 1 has come to an end! Don't forget to head to a shelter or protected area for the night and I'll see you brats up and early tomorrow!☆

Ami almost jumped when her cell phone rang. The sound only lasted for a few seconds, which could only mean she had received a message. Her hands were shaking as she took her cell phone out of her pocket. She tried not to think of how she had received a message without a signal when she flipped it open. She took a deep breath before opening the message. 

When she shut her cell phone again, all the color had left her face. Her small frame was shaking as she realized what she just had witnessed. That had been a Dead Clip. Just now she had watched a total stranger die.

"Y-You... You've got to be kidding me... Why w-would anyone send me this? I don't even know this person!" she cried out, trying to blink the tears forming in the corners of her eyes away. "That's too cruel. Showing me something like this..."

Ami felt completely hopeless. She didn't even have someone at her side to try and calm her down. Did this mean this person called Kasuga Ichiro really was going to die? If Ami wasn't going to do anything, was that person really done for? The message had said it was up to her whether he was going live of die. If she wanted to have a chance of saving him she should be on the move that very moment, but instead she was frozen to the spot.
