I canât remember what this is in relation to and I just went through my blog to try and see if Iâd reblogged something but Iâm coming up blank so instead Iâm going to make it up:Â
24 is a scarf, 25 is snow, and 14 is umm âsoftâÂ
âI donât feel the cold, Dean, this is unnecessary.âÂ
Dean picked up another scarf and offered it up to Castiel. âHow about this one?âÂ
Castiel sighed. âThat one is also fine.âÂ
âI donât just want fine, I want good, or, hey! Great would be... great.âÂ
Dean stroked a finger along another scarf, cashmere in shades of greens and blues. With a smile he picked it up and looped it around Castielâs neck.Â
âHow does that one feel.âÂ
Castiel made himself take a deep breath and moved to touch the scarf. âSoft,â he murmured.Â
âYou need a scarf, Cas.âÂ
The department store was busy, people swooping here and there shopping for Christmas. But everyone was ignoring the two of them.Â
âI donât feel the cold.âÂ
âBut it looks suspicious when youâre out wearing just that while me and Sam are layered up.âÂ
âSo this is just so I blend in better?âÂ
âAha,â Dean agreed, taking one end of the scarf in each hand.Â
Dean started to gently wind both ends of the scarf in around his palms, slowly bringing Castiel closer and closer to him, inch by inch.Â
He let both ends of the scarf drop when he started kissing Castiel, hands instead moving to Castielâs shoulders, moving across his back and touching, feeling, indulging.Â
It had been like that since theyâd both finally opened their eyes to the opportunities in front of them. Until theyâd both come to understand that just because they could lose one another so quickly, they could also have one another until that loss.Â
âAhem,â a voice interrupted. âCan I help you with anything, gentlemen?â The sales assistant looked to the scarf that had now fallen onto the floor at their feet.Â
âUm, yeah, weâd like to buy this?â Castiel swooped up the material and held it out.Â
âCertainly,â she smiled, seeming happier now she knew there was a confirmed sale. âCome with me this way and Iâll ring that up for you.âÂ
âIâm sorry, but explain this to me one more time: How did you spend $1,500 on a scarf?âÂ
âIt was Deanâs fault,â Castiel was quick to throw in.Â
âSnitch,â Dean shot back.Â
âIâm sorry Sam, we honestly hadnât looked at the price tag beforehand. And then the sales assistant was just there, and we were, er... A little too preoccupied to notice the price.âÂ
âItâll be fine, Sammy, weâll just move onto the next lot of cards. Isnât like weâre paying for it anyway. And, Cas really needed a scarf.âÂ
âIâm not filling out the paperwork for the next card. And you have to put a sensible name down, Dean! No more Ben Dovers, okay?â
