I mean, they have such an interesting relationship. I can't wait to see it develop in the second part of TVL (IWTV s4). Because I refuse to believe otherwise—deep down, it's obvious they like each other. It's more obvious for Lestat in some ways, but deep down I know it's the same for Daniel (i mean... he still having save Lestat lives in the beginning of this s3 against many others vampires, which was no small feat, because even with the strength amplified by Armand's blood and accompanied by another old vampire, well it was still risky for him let's be honest and he again go to save Lestat anyway without knowing the number of them or how many they are still alive, so I doubt it was just for his interview). If they were honest with each other, they would get along better. And knowing the future dynamic between Lestat and Armand (the future love of Daniel's life)—who will eventually reconcile as well (like Loumand did)—I imagine things will improve between Daniel and Lestat down the line too. Like... Daniel has a "good" relationships with Armand and Louis; it would be a shame not to eventually get Lestat and Daniel to get along (given that, deep down, they obviously like each other a little).
