Yoshiki, The 2nd Male Witch and Nonuki, The Corpse Majik

A Crossover fusion between The Summer Hikaru Died and Ichi the Witch

Okay, this is set completely in the world of Ichi the witch. And what happens is, the same thing goes as TSHD. Hikaru dies, Nonuki found the corpse, possess the corpse, Lives on as Hikaru, Spent some time being human with Yoshiki, ends up enjoying living as human and developing attachment to Yoshiki.

BUT, the part where Yoshiki confronts ‘Hikaru’ and asks “You’re not Hikaru, are you?” that still hasn’t happened yet. Yoshiki is still keeping it quiet for now.

Then the Mantinel got a prophecy about the Highly dangerous Majik and sends Team Desscaras to investigate and or apprehend.

Team Desscaras investigates the village Yoshiki and Hikaru lives. And sometime later, a confrontation happens between Yoshiki, 'Hikaru' and team Desscaras. Yoshiki defends 'Hikaru' from Desscaras.

I imagined it to be something like this.

Desscaras: “Hey kid. Move out of the way.” Team Desscaras getting ready for a possible fight. Desscaras with her sword, Ichi with his knife and Gokuraku getting ready in a battle stance. Yoshiki, stood his ground. Standing in between 'Hikaru' and Desscaras. Desscara: “I said move, do you have any idea what that thing is?” Yoshiki: “I know” Desscaras raises an eyebrow: “hah, you know?” Yoshiki: “I know. Hikaru is dead.” Suddenly Nonuki’s chromatic form bursts out of Hikaru’s corpse, forming into a magic stone presenting to Yoshiki.

Nonuki’s trial: Find out which person is actually a corpse that Nonuki’s possessing. (Almost like an Among Us type of deal.)

I was thinking that at the moment of dread, Nonuki doesn’t want to end his time with Yoshiki. So, when Yoshiki admits that he knows that ‘Hikaru’ is not Hikaru. Nonuki was even more panicked at first but then realizes an opportunity. A way to have more time with Yoshiki.

The Ikaruga lived modest lives, according to 65. I think part of Desscaras' circle being so straight forward (like its just clouds and ocean there's not a lot to do in there) is because of that.

my GOD is Desscaras' self esteem low. very volatile. she gets like this often and all it takes is the majiks goign 'you're so cool desscaras' to cheer her up?? like ouhhhhh... like, if desscaras really thought she was all that, she could easily scold her majiks, or simply be genuinely assured in her own superiority. but shes Not she is begging for reassurance??? she does so in funny ways and she does so while putting out that she IS great and ppl just aren't affirming it. but like. shes still asking for their assurance. we have SEEN how desscaras reacts when someone insults her and she thinks its bullshit w/ hitsugi. the jealousy is interesting.

alright its pretty clear now that the witch association plan was to have desscaras acquire uroro to lock up forever. relatedly: desscaras is not an independent actor. Like, very importantly she is a part of the witch association. shes not doing this all on her own. while she was fighting uroro solo, there was a whole team of witches as back up to keep civilians away and put up barriers. this was a planned thing. also, shirabedonna mentions inspecting ichi's bagic circle, which implies that magic circles can be inspected, and desscaras' title is 'the abyssal witch' so. mantinel totally knows everything that desscaras has going on in there and they're probably pretty on board for it bcs its convenient to have a living prison.

relatedly: hey desscaras when you were exaggerating everything Ichi said about you why did you add in "the greatest witch ever" AND "I'm super proud of her." like... you want him to be proud of you? you want him to call you the greatest? hm. hmmmm. uhhuh.

partially headcanon here, but we do see Ichi communicating with his majiks while conscious and using them. the specfics are unclear but i think it would be neat if on some level witches can hear their majiks in their head if they're listening or the majiks are trying to be loud. and on that level: desscaras likely has a constant internal monologue of majiks screaming at her to let them out, that they hate her, and that she should die. constantly.

Desscaras is a woman who electively, but also is encouraged by the association she is a part of, to take it upon herself to hold as many wicked things as possible within her own heart so that they will never hurt anyone else again.

I love the compartmentalization of it. she has to hold everything that hurts her buried under tons and tons of water, and big metal grates and tied up so it can't hurt anyone ever again. everything is buried as far as it can be. no wonder she never cries.

Additionally, I think its really interesting that Desscaras' circle is comprised of the layer of clouds, and then the deep sea. Floating above all the misery, but also there's like, a cyclical nature to it. Clouds to rain to ocean to clouds again

And the human-haters she keeps in the Abyss of her magic circle to basically torture with (sorta-)solitary confinement.

Observation: there is what appears to be a middle layer between these two groups, which Kizashi is in.

Majiks in this layer are still chained down, but not nearly to the same degree. They also talk a little less desperately for Desscaras’ attention.

2nd observation: as pointed out by @colourful-void, this whole system massively handicaps Desscaras from her full potential, as she is refusing to use tons of Majiks; massively reducing her arsenal (especially given how versatile a single Majik can be), as well as power if she’s collected some really strong ones. As also pointed out by the above post, the temptation to use this power must be ever-present.
