“Man I’m picking a lot of easy motives to give out, just stay where you are again, won’t take too long to get this out.”

He pauses to clear his throat.

"Some of you starting this morning may have began to feel a little...off.” He pauses. “During the night I slipped something into a handful of your bodies. That something is what I like to call the ‘despair disease.’ You begin to feel woozy and sick, hallucinations and voices in your head can be seen and heard. Some of you may just feel like crying all day, some may be completely different than normal in general.”

He cackles a bit.

“I won’t say who I gave it to, but I’m sure if you’re one of those people or friends with those people, you’ll notice.”

There’s a longer pause this time as he thinks.

“Ah right, I’ll give out the cure when someone dies. Fun right? Happy killing!”

And then his voice leaves.

Seamus had left the room for a while to see if there was anything he could do to help. His eyes were red and puffy, indicating that he had been crying while shut away in his room. He felt guilty for not doing anything to help the others investigate, but he was just... tired. 

Then, he found out about the additional bodies.

Seamus didn’t even try to hide his tears when he saw his room mate dead on the ground. He stayed silent as they flowed freely down his cheeks. He wouldn’t be able to stop them if he tried.

This was getting to be too much for him to handle. Any day now, all of the people he cared about could drop dead in the blink of an eye. Not to mention he had no clue about the state of his mother.

“Ping pong pang pon! Students, a dead body has been found! Investigation will commence for the next 3 hours! Upupu, see you at the school trial!”

Seamus felt as if a knife had been jabbed into his heart.

No, no no no no no. This couldn’t be happening, this absolutely could not be happening. The world (or lack-thereof) around him vanished as he stood there in shock, hardly able to process what was going on. Could it be true? Could they really do that?

His mother was all he had. The two of them had been on their own from the start, with no other family to speak of. They never really needed anyone else.

He couldn’t breathe. He couldn’t see with the tears starting to well up in his eyes. The thought of killing someone had already made him feel sick to his stomach, but knowing what would happen if nobody took action...

“Ah- this is another motive I don’t need to show things for, so here I go.”

He pauses to clear his throat.

“If no one kills by the end of this weekend, I’ll kill a random family member of your’s. You won’t even know who I kill until after they’re gone. It could be your mother, your brother, your grandmother, who knows! Definitely not you!”
