Final designs :)

my intention was to show my concept and how the power of social media and influential people’s platform can spread a message fast. the video start with the landfill site to show the reality of the fashion industry, the ‘xrays’ of the designs show what the final designs are made of, while quickly switching to show how waste can still be turned into something contemporary and cool. The influencer clips, likes, and filter clips show how the power of sharing and going viral can get the followers attention in order to hopefully change their buying habits and be more emotional and conscious, whilst demanding this change from the industry.

i decided to cobine the colours from the forecast and re looking at influencer street fashion to finalize my colour card which was then used for the final designs.

for the product check i had created a colour pallette consisting of colours that when combined they gave quite a futuristic look. when using those colours to make my designs i noticed that the aesthetic was going a little off track and was not exactly giving off that commercial yet interesting vibe. this made me reconsider my colour card and for this i decided to look at a colour forecast from Premiere Vision.

brand and size label in the garments.

All the coats have button closings with qr codes. the qr codes when scanned take the wearer to a page on this TUMBLR that shows the care instructions as well as information about the materials etc (material passport, disection of the garment..). this choice was taken as usually people tend to cut off tags found inside of garments, by placing a way to get to the care instructions on a trim ensures that info is always ready at the customer’s finger tips.
