My own worst enemy
Speaking of personal projects not filling the void for design work, a big part of the problem is that I'm my own worst enemy.
I can't do design for myself. I'm just too miserable to work with.
Me 1: You're going to pick that color? Seriously? Me 2: Yeah... well... what would you pick? Me 1: I don't know, just the exact opposite! Me 2: Well, we can try that. Me 1: Now it looks worse! Me 2: IT WAS YOUR IDEA! Me 1: Well put it back! Me 2: ....crap...what was it before? Me 1: .....I don't remember. Me all together: This is awful. Pinterest instead.
I've been in the process of redesigning my website for about half a decade now.
