playing my game with minimal cc has shown me some gaps in maxis content that i wish i had fixes for, so i’ve been working on small projects like these to fill those gaps.

i love the subway tile shower from seasons, but needed more usable swatches, like an all white version, and i wanted to replace the stone texture on the base with something smoother.

similarly, i find myself wanting to use the parenthood basin sink all the time but had the same issue with swatches. i also removed the blue & red temperature indicators on the handles for a less public-bathroom-y look.

both items come in a variety of neutral swatches - white & black versions with silver and gold metal.

subway shower has 7 swatches (seasons required)

basic basin has 6 swatches (parenthood required)

these are standalone items, and can be found easily by searching ‘desertgloom’ in game.

desertgloom ; lil’ end tables

i always want smaller end tables, but sizing them down in game makes placing objects on them a hassle. i chose a few of my favorites and sized them down to 75%. they now fit much better next to couches and beds!

i’ve never played with blender before, but inspired by @peacemaker-ic’s shrunken square coffee tables, @hamburgercakes’s smaller side tables, and @renorasims​’s resized re-slotted end tables, i dove into research and figured it out.

5 tables, all have their original swatches, tagged by color.

desertgloom ; moodboard template

as requested, a template for making moodboards for your sims!

psd file (aka you need photoshop to use this bad boy)

each square has it’s own folder with a layer mask already set

just drag and drop your images into the correct folders

you can resize your images after adding them

or pre-crop them to 300px square if you’re nitpicky like me

there's also a super simple coloring layer for your convenience
