The patient, in their wild flailing, smacked Ren’s glasses off. He didn’t need them-- indeed, he only wore them to make him look a little bit older. Being only 17 forever was a bit of a pain in the working world. Still, it was a sign that they weren’t going to calm down any time soon.

They were alone... and it was going to take a while for another nurse to arrive. So he grabbed her arm, held it tightly, and let his fangs dive into the vein they normally put the patient’s IV in.

The flailing stopped within moments. Screams turned into weak moans. As the woman relaxed, Ren pulled his fangs back.

“There you go, dear, now take a rest, okay?” He quickly cleaned and bandaged up her puncture wounds, then covered her up with a blanket.

“Yes, doc~.” The woman chimed, now completely soothed.

But, as he turned to leave the room, someone was watching... someone who looked uncannily like him. He had met a lot of similar-looking people in the past, likely distant relatives, but this one looked like it could be his doppelganger! And from the expression on his face... he’d seen something.

“Well, this is new...” Not a lot of people would willingly visit the psych ward in the middle of the night, let alone a high schooler. “Are you a new patient? Or did you come here to visit her? She hasn’t had a visitor in months...”
