Derek Hale imagine/song preference request.
Plot: song preference based on the song madhouse by little mix where the reader was put on Eichen house because her parents -who are hunters- wanted to get rid of her so finally she escapes by fighting all the guards and when she is in the road Derek almost runs her over because he didn't see her and then he takes her to the sheriff station? and it's fluffy at the end?
A/N: I don't know if I did this right because I've never done a song preference before but I hope you enjoy it anyhow!
I feel a strange sensation taking over from my head to my toes
I got the shakes body rippling it's enough to shatter my bones
I didn't know where I went wrong. All my life I had always thrived to do good, be a better person, succeed in life and be a good daughter. My parents are hunters and they've always taught me how to hunt and fight and be the strong girl they wanted me to be. But when I told them one day that I didn't want to hunt, that I wanted to find a better way to deal with werewolves. They packed my bags and threw me here. Eichen house.
The first few nights I spent here I couldn't stop crying. It was as if it was all I knew how to do. I wouldn't eat or come out. I wanted to know why my parents abandoned me so easily. How could they get rid of their only child? I thought I had always been living under a loving home but it turns out that my parents probably didn't love me at all.
As I thought about them more and more, my anger increased and my want to get out of this place grew stronger.
Running from the madhouse, they won't take me back
Got the medicines to give me what I need
Yes I'm burning up but music is my drug
Doesn't matter if I shout or if I scream
So I planned my escape plan in my head. I was raised a hunter, I was taught how to fight and defend myself and that is the only way I can get out of here. So I waited.
“(Y/N). Are you coming out for dinner or are you going to skip it again? You need something to eat.” A facility staff called from outside. This is was my opportunity to get out of this madhouse.
“I'll come out.” I called back and then I heard keys and the click as they unlocked the door.
“Come on then.” I walked out and ahead of him down the straight hallway, no-one was around so I turned around and made a swing.
“Ah!” He was on the floor groaning and pain. I kicked him and bent down to punch his face again this time leaving him unconcious. I'll take all the staff down one by one if I have to, whoever comes in my way to stopping me from escaping.
I made my way outside the building, it was dark but there were patients and staff planted everywhere. I groaned. How am I supposed to leave, they'll attack me all at once and I haven't regained my strength yet.
“Hey!” I heard from behind me and it was another staff carrying the man I knocked out. “Someone get her!” He pointed to me and all the other staff started to run.
“Crap.” I hissed under my breath and examined the people running towards me and made a choice as to who I'll take down first.
One had gotten to me quicker than I had anticipated as she held my arms back from behind me but only for me to throw my head back hitting her head and leaving her to slide down to the floor. Another two came running one after the other, I took a step forward and kicked my leg as high as it could go slamming it into the face of one then I swiveled my body as my foot came down and swung my arm to punch the woman behind and knocked her to the ground.
The staff were multiplying and soon I would be outnumbered.
They're coming for me
They're coming for me
I ran as fast as I could away from the staff, looking back frequently to see if they were catching up but I've always been fast. From a distance I saw four other staff running towards me. As they grew closer I jumped and kicked the closest one to me with both of my legs as I swung around and landed perfectly on my feet. But one managed to punch me on the side of my face which only increased my anger, as they went to punch me I grabbed their hand and twisted it causing them to shout in pain then I raised my arm and elbowed them hard in the face. Just then I saw a pole the size of a sword by a bush near me. As two staff sprinted towards me I ran to the pole and grabbed it just seconds after the two came close, grabbing the pole with two hands I swung it into one staff's stomach and swung it the other way hitting the other's head.
Dropping it I sprinted towards the gate, I was so close.
Climbing the gate I got to the top and jumped to the other side. Bending down and placing my hands on my knees I panted and sighed with a relief as I mentally patted my back at my achievement. I looked behind me and the staff were still running, so I ran faster into the woods not knowing where to go. I just kept running no matter how dark it was, no matter what kind of creature was out here smelling my fear, I just kept running. But I saw a road in front of me and I smiled, at least then I could run down the road and that will lead me out of this forest and into town. I ran faster and as I reached the road, I was too occupied to see a car come speeding down. I screamed as I stopped dead in my tracks and thanked God the car had time to stop too, in shock I had placed both my hands down on the hood of the car and looked at the driver scared out of my mind. I panted faster as I tried to calm myself down.
“Get in!” The man shouted and I complied but I didn't know why. I didn't know who he is, for all I know he could be a dangerous person taking this opportunity to harm me. But in someway I felt like I could trust him.
My body was still in a state of shock when I got in, my hands were shaking and my breathing was erratic.
“I'm Derek by the way, what are you doing running through the woods at this time?” He asked softly with a frown on his face.
“I-I'm (Y/N). I, uh, escaped from Eichen house.” I hugged myself and stared down the road.
“Right, well I'll save you to explain everything at the sheriff station. They'll help me you more than I can.” Derek said and I looked over to him, studying his face as he kept his eyes on the road, hand firmly on the wheel.
“Thanks.” I croaked keeping my eyes glued on him.
He looked at me briefly and smiled slightly, “It's okay.”
Reaching the sheriff station, I was sat down with Derek and the sheriff in front of me.
“So, (Y/N), how come you were put into Eichen house when you say there's nothing wrong with you?” The sheriff questioned me but my gaze stayed passive, concentrating on the window.
“My parents threw me there after I told them that I didn't want to hunt anymore.” I said slowly, my heart ached at each word.
The sherriff sighed, “So if we took you there now-”
“NO!” I ripped my eyes from the window and looked at both the sheriff and Derek who was stood leaning on the desk with his arms crossed in front of him. “Please, I can't go back there. They hate me and after what they did to me I sure as hell hate them too. They won't accept me anyway. If you take me back I'm sure that they'll send me to Eichen again. I can't stay there.” I pleaded as my eyes welled up.
“Okay, okay don't worry, (Y/N). We won't. But it's just the matter of finding you a place to stay.” The sheriff said as I bit my lip to stop myself from sobbing.
“She can stay with me.” Derek said sternly and I looked at him in surprise.
“Derek are you sure?” The sheriff asked looking at him.
“It's better than being sent off. I've got plenty of room at the loft.” Derek nodded and took his jacket off and wrapped it around me. He must have noticed me shivering slightly from when I was running through the woods.
“Thank you.” I mumbled, “For the jacket and a place to stay.” He smirked down at me and sat next to the empty seat.
“There's a phone call from Eichen.” A deputy came in and the sheriff excused himself as he walked out.
“That's probably because of me.” I laughed humourlessly.
“Don't worry, you'll be fine. My loft isn't as homily as you'd expect but it's just me and my uncle so there's no girls to really decorate the place.” Derek raised his eyebrow and looked at me.
“It's okay, I'm just more than happy than I have somewhere to stay.” I smiled tightly back at him and covered my mouth as I yawned.
The sheriff came back in and looked at me in shock, “(Y/N), you took down eight Eichen staff. By yourself?!”
Even Derek looked at me in awe. “How can a petite girl such as you take down eight staff?” Derek asked with a smile playing at his lips.
“Don't underestimate me, Derek.” I raised an eyebrow at him.
“She'll fit in fine.” The sheriff smiled and nodded at both me and Derek.
“Definitely.” Derek turned his head and gave me a half smile as I chuckled and leaned my head on his shoulder.Â
