Dents Run Covered Bridge in Monongalia County was constructed in 1889 and rehabilitated in 2004. The structure employs a kingpost truss design in which a vertical post affixed to an apex truss supports the bridge’s main beams. This lovely covered bridge, set in a bowl formed by beautiful, rolling farm country, is one of a handful remaining in West Virginia and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
