In this atmosphere of growing white nationalism and anti-Semitism and persecution of immigrants, we must all be remaining on the alert and #denouncehate in all its forms. Case in point: Earlier this month (Jan 6, to be exact,) I removed this sticker from a traffic pole on #theother5th . Don't let the innocuous-looking slogan con you: The Southern Poverty Law Center identifies the group behind the sticker, Patriot Front, as a white nationalist hate group and points out that the group broke off from Vanguard America in the wake of the fatal #Charlottesville VA rally in 2017. Patriot Front recently papered the Bay Ridge area with stickers and posters - causing the community to hold a protest rally on Jan. 5.
