Fitting is Committing
My job isn’t over when I leave the dressing room. As a fit model, I have opinions that fashion companies value. Because of this, designers often give me clothing to further evaluate after hours by wear testing. A “wear test” allows me to live in a garment like a customer would, then report back to the client with expert feedback. Sometimes denim stretches out by the end of the day, so the production pattern might be reduced to accommodate this growth. Or, I’ll be asked to work out in activewear samples, enabling me to check that the garments move and breathe as designed. And then sometimes it’s a holiday weekend, and I end up wear testing jeans at the beach! Thankfully, I love my clients and am happy to commit to perfecting their fit.
