As a fellow thememaker, I think that people limit themselves too much to copying what already has been done on tumblr a thousand times. Like instead of looking at outside sources to see what's trending in web design (sites like dribbble, behance, siteinspire, etc) to enrich their own coding, they keep thinking small. And then we have this endless circle-jerk of "inspiration" that never ends and it gets old tbh. Sucks that it keeps happening to you so much. Keep strong!! : /
Exactly! That is why I started turning to outside websites as sources for inspiration! They’ve given me heaps of ideas / inspo about how to style content heavy themes and it’s honestly so refreshing to not be worried about copying another theme maker. I agree though, we need to encourage a wider appreciation for web design outside of tumblr!
