I feel like Yamato is the one most likely to catch a wizards curse (gods love my brother-fiance, but he will run at every situation face first and think about it later)
He probably either swung without thinking, or more likely, talked a little too much, just a little too loud, and probably said a few too many of the wrong things. I don't think he went out of his way to piss off a wizard, I think it just happened (tbh, in a crossover verse, it may well be Hameline!)
As for what I would do, I am looking after him, of course! Get him a good lil terrarium with plenty of water and food and enrichment! And letting him ride around on my shoulder during the day, giving him lil spritzes of water so he doesn't dry out!
