Okay my memory is a little fuzzy when I think about the time Belial killed Markus and I am a little too sleepy and lazy to go check. But this is around the time Del moved to a house in the same realm as Kalaren and Idris. Itās just a little thing to explain what Del has been doing before she decided to talk to Belial but got stuck with Irma(?) and received Belialās fingers.
Word count: 952, i think?

When Kalaren and Idris said a house would magically pop up for Del, she didnāt believe itāuntil she actually stepped foot inside. It looked identical to the one she had lived in her entire life. The comfy atmosphere, the photos of fond memories hanging on the wall, the fireplace, even the small and barely noticeable dent in the floor peeking out from under the living room carpetāit was all the same. She explored every single room, rummaged through the closets, and tested the softness of her bed.
Eventually, she collapsed on top of itāstill bloody, mind youāand just⦠broke down. Everything crashed down on her like a wrecking ball. The tears flowed steadily as she thought about what had happened earlier today. Memories of Markusā beaten and bruised body, the fight with Belial, holding Markusā lifeless body in her armsāhis blood soaking her clothes and painting her cheeksāall flashed through her mind like a broken record.
She couldnāt fathom that he was gone. Forever. The only person to truly understand her. Oh, all the things they used to do together⦠midnight runs to the gas station, trying on each otherās clothes, fighting over who had bigger muscles, binging ten movies in one nightāeach from a different genre. There was no one to do that with anymore. She was sure there never would be again.
The awful smell of blood on her clothes interrupted her breakdown. She didnāt want to get up. She wanted to sink into the mattress and let it swallow her whole, block out everythingāsights, sounds, memories. But she couldnāt. She hated the pungent, metallic smell clinging to her like Velcro.
She reluctantly got up, wiping her tears as she headed for the bathroom. She let the tub fill with water, then grabbed a small towel and ran it under the sink to wipe the blood from her face. After her face was clean, she slowly stripped out of her soiled clothes and tossed them into the empty laundry basket. Once the water was warm enough, she stepped into the tub and lowered herself into it. The heat felt good against her skin, as if washing away the horrible memories bit by bit.
She stayed there for almost two hours, lost in thought. After a while, she decided sheād had enough and stepped out. Her fingers and toes were wrinkled like raisins, which she found a little funny. She grabbed a clean towel, wrapped herself in it, and made her way back to the bedroom.
The night went on. She changed, cleaned her hair, made something small to eat, and settled on the couch with a large blanket wrapped around her shoulders. She switched on the TV, watching whatever was playing. Not that she was really paying attention. She eventually fell asleep there, the low hum of late-night TV in the background.

It went on like this for a few days. She had no energy to do anything. All she did was wake up, shower, brush her teeth, eat, feed Tones, sulk on the couch or floor, and sleep again. Tones did his best to comfort her, though he wasnāt good with words. He stayed by her side and reminded her to eat and rest. Every time Delphine shut her eyes, she saw Markusā bodyābloody, lifeless, deep wounds everywhere. Every night, she had nightmares about that day. It never left her mind.
Then something changed. She didnāt know why, but she felt more energetic that morning, even with a little hop in her step as she went about her usual routine.
āToday is a new day, Tones. Iām gonna do something productive. I have no idea where Markusā body is, but I want to do something for him,ā Del said as she cleaned Tonesā food bowl and filled it with his favorite brand of cat food.
āWhat are you going to do?ā Tones asked from his seat on the counter. She had told him many times not to sit there, but he never listened.
āHmm⦠maybe clean up his room and turn it into a little memorial for him? Iām not sure, but something like that. Iāll fill the room with his belongings, hang some pictures, toss in some plushies⦠and Iāll go in whenever I miss him.ā
āWhich would be every day, right?ā
āā¦Yeah. It hurts, Tones,ā she mumbled as she set his food bowl down, watching him hop off the counter.
āItāll be okay. You still have me, right?ā Tones gently placed his paw on her foot in a comforting gesture.
She smiled and petted him, earning a happy āmrreowā Leaving him to eat, she went upstairs to the room Markus had always stayed in when he visited.
She began cleaning it, moving in items that reminded her of himāthe clothes he left behind, some of his jewelry, his favorite sheets (airplane-patterned, for some reason she could never figure out), and, lastly, pictures of their fondest memories. Still, it didnāt feel like enough. Sheād have to visit his apartment later that week to collect more things. She would also have to inform his relatives of his passing, though she couldnāt bring herself to tell them how he died.

Not long after finishing Markusā room, she decided to confront Belial. It was still painfulāthe memories still rawābut she had to. She got ready and left to find him. When she arrived at his place, she was met not by Belial, but by an unfamiliar woman.
The woman studied Delphine for a moment before giving her a small smile.
āHello! Who are you?ā
Delphine froze for a moment, instantly sensing that something was off about her.
āā¦Hello. Iām Delphine. Who are you? Whereās Belial? I need to speak with him.ā

The end. Of this, obviously. The rest of the thread about the purple eyed bitch is here. I wrote this on a whim, honestly. I was so bored. The first half of this was proof read and the second wasn't...
