our  threads  already  have  me  crying    !!!    i  scrolled  down  so  far  in  the  indie  rp  tag  and  liked  ur  starter  call  from  there  but  im  so  glad  i  did  because  this  is  wonderful  and  i  see  these  being  some  of  my  favorite  ships  already.  ur  blog  is  so  pretty  and  madelaine  is  such  a  babe  ugh.    im  so  glad  we’re  mutuals  and  im  so  glad  we’re  writing  together  and  i  can’t  wait  to  see  where  all  of  our  threads  go  <33

Night shifts weren’t his favorite past-time,sure, but at least they kept his and Wesley’s apartment paid for. William had been taking them all for the past month, working extra-shifts just to pay his half of the rent. It wasn’t that they were struggling as a unit, but more like Will didn’t want to be a nuisance to his brother. Nothing much had happened to him while he had been out (except about a week ago, when he and some of the other rookie cops had went out to dinner at a quaint little restaurant one of them knew; now that had been a good night, even if it seemed fruitless by this point) so when his radio had crackled back to life nearing midnight, Will had been all too excited to take the call. Trespassing was hardly his favorite kind of crime, but it was still something to do to kill some time. 

When he arrived at the place in question, he jumped out of his car, flashlight in hand. The place seemed kind of creepy at night, but there’s some sort of beauty to the moonlight shinning off the lake’s surface. His thoughts are interrupted by the faint sounds of people laughing in the distance and leaves crunching underneath hurried steps. He wonders if he’s too late, and still walks towards the docks. Better do what he came here to do. 

What he’s met with is definitely not what he was expecting, but his brain rewires itself almost instantly. That’s the girl from the diner! William stares dumbfounded at her for a little while, his flashlight forgotten off to one side where he dropped it--and whoops! There it goes into the water! 

steve had thought that getting out of hawkins would be a dream come true. no more boys going missing, no more spooky labs full of sinister men, no more monsters that threatened to destroy the town. just the normal, every day minutia ( a word he’d learned from nancy at one point ) of going to school and probably working a part-time job on top of that. but...

the transition to his new home was, it seemed, going far less smoothly than he’d thought it would. while he was getting on with his roommate just fine, and discovering that college really wasn’t much different from high school, things still didn’t feel quite right. figuring maybe he was just feeling a little out of place because he didn’t know this place the way he had hawkins, he thought maybe a trip to one of the more popular stops in town might help.

a few short conversations with other people in the dorm had led him to a nearby cafe, where he hoped he could maybe have something to eat, go over some assignments, and get the lay of the land. luckily it seemed a thursday afternoon meant there was plenty of choice in where to sit. he settled himself at a table near the corner and begin perusing the menu until a girl approached his table.

❛ could i get coffee and... ❜ he glanced at the menu again and frowned.  ❛ actually, what would you recommend, ❜ a pause as he glanced at his name tag,  ❛ liv? i’m new here and it all sounds fantastic. ❜
