Jujutsu Kaisen: Infinity ⢠Fanfic | Chapter 6 - Jujutsu High
Synopsis: What happens if we look between the cracks of time in JJK? Hereby sharing you the hidden story I found.
Previously: âLetâs just get you to Jujutsu High.â
Yuviâs eyes lit up. âOkay! **You remember the plan, right?**â
Gojo nodded. â**SureâŚ**â
Content: !-Finally heree â¨-!
The two soon found themselves away from the hum of Tokyoâs city mornings. The silence, quiet wind, and chirp of the forest filled their surroundings instead, as they walked through the roads wrapping around the hilly outskirts of Tokyo. The trees and greenery muffling their conversation.Â
Yuvi had her hands in her pockets as he walked behind Gojo, taking in the scenery surrounding her, before turning to him to speak. âSo, I'm gonna be interviewed by some⌠Yaga guy, yeah?â
Gojo blinked, turning. âHow'd you know?â
Yuvi shrugged. âTold you I researched.â Though as they walked forward, Gojo couldn't help but notice the way she was all giggly as of now.Â
So, he spoke up. âWell? Looks like someone's happy. You really hit it all today, huh? 1 pm, and you've already, met Satoru Gojo, befriended him, told him your plan, have him help you out executing it, headed to Jujutsu High, and finished⌠how many stages of your test, again?
Gojo smirked. âSix, huh? You sound like it's special.â
Yuvi nodded with a smile. âCause it is special. My test, though harsh, has a liberation. Once I've finished 6 of 8 stages, even though I'm not allowed to have intimacy with someone I love until I finish the other two stages, now I'm free to fall in love or be romantically involved with someone. And the person won't die anymore.â
A beat. Gojo realised. Yuvi beamed. He immediately stretched his hand for a shake. Yuvi took it.Â
Gojo: âCongratulations!â
Yuvi: âYeah, Thanks!â
Gojo: âOh- and we've reached Jujutsu High. By the wayâÂ
They stood at the entrance of Jujutsu High, Yuvi staring at the vast campus before her. Oh, this was gonna be where everything happens, wasnât it? She grinned, resting her hands on her sides. âSo, this is the infamous Jujutsu High, huh?â
Gojo nodded. âYeah⌠this is, my place.â
She shrugged. âFine, letâs go.â
Y: âYou remember the plan, right?â
G: âYeah, yeah.â
Y: âThen into the lionâs den I go!â
Gojo: âThen tell me. Whatâs this quirky plan of yours?â
Yuvi: âHmph. So basically, Iâll act like a helpless kid with a cursed technique thatâs troubling her. Youâll recommend me as a rookie with potential for recruitment. And just like that, Iâm gonna be in Jujutsu High without needing to sneak around. Plus, a year later, Iâll get access to the library.â
Gojo: âHuh. Sounds simple enough. Will that work, though? And howâll you pretend to have a cursed technique? Youâre the literal opposite- also something weâre supposed to hide. Wonât they sense your strange energy? That place is filled with sorcerers.â
Yuvi: âThey wonât; watch me.â
Gojo: âAlright then.â
1 PM. In front of Yagaâs office.
The two walked across the grounds of Jujutsu High, busy in conversation. A few eyes turned; others didnât. Then, as they reached in front of Yagaâs office, Gojo paused by the door, turning to Yuvi. âReady?â
Yuvi nodded. âYeah.â And so, they stepped inside.
As they did, they were met by shelves of files in cupboards on one side, a monitor and lots of soft toys?! around the desk, which was covered with papers. On the opposite corner by the end of the room, there was a small cabinet stuffed with rolled wires from the CCTVs in Jujutsu High. And in the middle of it all sat a man in his early thirties, dark hair, with a buzz cut and two neat lines shaved off around his head, wearing a neat black jacket similar to Gojoâs uniform; Yuvi noticed.Â
Yaga looked up. Looked at Gojo. Gojo grinned. âMorning, Sensei!â Then he looked at the girl standing beside Gojo, whom heâd never seen before. Yuvi smiled politely.
Yaga sighed. âSatoru. Weâve talked about this. I cannot keep dealing with your recruitment âoptionsâ every two weeks, especially when Iâm not the principal and have one to convince every time you do this.â
Gojo grinned. âOh, Sensei, just hear me out. I found her somewhere on some streets, but she. Has. So. Much. Potential. Besides, I already told you before that Iâm helping. Weâre always short on sorcerers, so why not recruit more!â
Yaga exhaled through his nose, pinching its bridge. âYes, but you canât keep picking up people off the streets.â
Gojo tilted his head, blinking rapidly, wide-eyed. âIâm trying to contribute my best; I train and study and go on missions, even though Iâm not a student here yet, cause my clan sent me here early, and I find people for us since we have a lack of them out of the goodness of my heart. And you wonât even consider my suggestion on my Birthday? Heartbreaking.â
Yaga just stared at him. Yuvi cleared her throat, speaking up, her voice low. âItâs okay, sir. I knew I was a waste of time to such busy people in this Jujutsu society. Itâs my fault I let Mister Gojo think they should bring me here. I shall leave.â She said and turned to the door.
Yaga spoke up, absolutely done. âOh no, no. Wait. We canât just keep letting random people âleaveâ like that after theyâve found out about Jujutsu society. Which is why you need to stop doing this, SATORU, but fine. Inhale Fine. Youâre not going anywhere before Iâm done. Whatever it is, Satoru, tell her to make it short.â
Gojo grinned, nodding as he turned to Yuvi, giving her two big thumbs up. Internally? Both Yaga and Yuvi sighed at his theatrics. But of course, she recovered quickly, then turned, giving Yaga a bow. âNoon, sir. Iâm Yuvi Knaiomi. I was born with a cursed technique, and honestly, luckily, I knew about Jujutsu, so it hasnât scared me as traumatically as it could have to a person not understanding what goes on inside themself. Although I am incredibly physically weak. Every time I use my technique, it hurts my own body too. It takes a serious physical toll on me. And as years pass, my technique keeps getting stronger and hurting me more and more. I told the same to Mister Gojo, and he brought me here. Do you think this place can solve my problem?â
Yaga listened carefully to her, then leaned back, humming. âDepends. What do you think the solution to your problem is?âÂ
Yuvi blinked, pretending to think for a second. âUm⌠if Iâm able to learn more, and right about Jujutsu here, train, learn to control my technique better, strengthen myself physically, so I can stop hurting myself without my control.â
Yaga raised a brow, then scoffed. âWell, then if you already know what to do, why come here. You seem to know enough to help your case.â
Yuvi shook her head, eyes cast down. âTeary-eyed â, her lower lip trembled. âNo, sir. I cannot. Because I donât know how to do all that. I only have the thought, not the skill. I need guidance. Training. That much, I know.â
Oh, Gojo was impressed; and he wouldâve tried to hide his grin, but even if this was true, heâd probably still be grinning, so no stress.Â
The whole time she spoke, Yaga listened carefully. Then shrugged, leaning back on his chair. âFine. Tell me more about your technique.â
Yuviâs brows furrowed. Internally, she smirked like this was the most entertaining moment of her life. âSir. My technique is called âPretense Mind Control.â But unfortunately, I cannot explain more than that. I have made that mistake more than once before. I believe you know the pactful nature of explaining or revealing oneâs technique. It makes it stronger. Except in this case, I canât afford it get stronger anytime soon. I apologize for the uncertainty. Iâll understand if it raises a case of doubt about me.â
Yaga rolled his eyes, leaning back in his chair as he shook his head. âNo, no, I assure you, it doesnât do any of that. Bold of you to assume I havenât seen stranger stuff sitting on this chair. But we canât exactly go around recruiting people whoâre a twig and babysit them with a whole Jujutsu society on our hands. If you want to be trained, youâre going to have to prove youâre worth any of our time.â
He said. And finally stood up from his seat, stepping out, arms behind his back. âYou canât explain? Fine. Show me. Use your technique against me. I assure you I wonât counter or defend unless necessary.â
Gojo froze. Not panicking, he trusted Yuvi to handle it by now. But yes, he had his popcorn ready cause he had no idea what she was gonna do, and he loved that.
Yuvi nodded, then stepped back. âOkay, Sir. As you say.âÂ
The truth was, Yuvi had been using a technique this whole time. One blessers have to create negative energy just like Jujutsu sorcerers do to create positive energy. But donât be fooled. The Reverse blessed technique is far more complicated cause simple multiplication of positive energy doesnât yield negative energy, unlike the Reverse cursed technique.
Yuvi used her Shukujutsu to create the âeffectsâ of her âtechniqueâ while constantly performing reverse blessed technique alongside to create the illusion of cursed energy, also using it to mask her positive aura completely.Â
With the help of her Shukujutsu, while carefully masking the sense of her blessed energy, she forced Yagaâs feet to move a step forward against his will. But thatâs all.Â
Then she stopped. And pretended to feel exhausted, while also, in a way, a person used to the exhaustion would. She made her nose and ears bleed slightly, using her Shukujutsu.
Yaga stared at his feet, like they'd betrayed him, then back at Yuvi, as she got weaker and blood came out of her nose and ears.Â
Yuvi blinked, looking back at Yaga as she gave him a dizzy bow, shaking her head. âOhâ I'm sorry. Don't worry, I'llâ I'm used to this.â She said, then pulled out a handkerchief from her pocket, dabbing away her blood.Â
Yaga hummed. âYeah. I can see that. You shouldn't be âused toâ something like this, though.â
He turned to Gojo. âFine. I'll talk about her with the others and make them agree. I can see how not recruiting her would create more problems than recruiting her. But you will stop with this habit of yours now, Satoru. For the last time, it's not your job to find us more people, and it has become very problematic.â
Satoru gasped, half offended, but then glanced at Yuvi for a short second. Right. We have a plan to keep from flopping. He cleared his throat, giving Yaga an over-the-top nod. âAs you say, Sensei!â
Yaga waved his hand. âYeah, yeah, whatever. Go show her around.â
Gojo grinned. âOh, alright, I will!â
And with that, the two left Yagaâs office.Â
The moment they stepped out of the door, they burst into laughter, whispering to each other.Â
âOh. My. God. Yuvi, that was some acting! You're gonna be like this the whole time? I feel like I made the best decision of my life meeting you and bringing you here!â
Yuvi smirked, arms crossed in pride. âMn~ of course I am. Told you no one'd catch up. Although it wasn't your decision to bring me here. I made you.â
Gojo gasped, clutching his heart. Yuvi chuckled, giving him a nudge. Then she blinked. Looking around at the campus. Her eyes fell on two people. She turned to Gojo, pointing:
âWho are the noodle-hair guy and human-bunny over there?â
Gojo blinked, his brows knitting as he turned to where she was pointing. There stood the boy with blond hair and an expression too serious for his age, along with another guy around the same age, dark hair and big eyes, smiling at him and talking loudly. Both wearing the same uniform as Gojo's.Â
Gojo burst into laughter, clutching Yuvi's shoulder. âOhâ OH MY GODâ wheeze Yuvi! You with the nicknames?! Giggle but yeah, they're my friends. Same story. Aren't âofficiallyâ in school yet, but we're all here. The wheeze âNoode-hair guy is Nanami Kento. Please don't say that to him, though. Inhale and theâ exhale The human bunny, is Yu Haibara. Don't fixate too much on the sunshine energy, though. He's got hands where he needs them on missions.â
Yuvi raised a brow, then grinned. âOo. They sound interesting. Can I meet them?â
Gojo shrugged, âDepends. What if they sniff you out?â
Yuvi hummed, smirking. âOh, watch me.â
âOh, but that's unfair! You have to tell me the details about the mission.â Haibara insisted.Â
Nanami shook his head. âThere are not much details. I already told you the locationâs history, and there's not much more to itââ
Haibara huffed. âOh, but you can at least tell me how the cursed spirit looks so we can identify it from the other ones if there's any thereââ
Nanami shrugged. âHaibara. If there are other spirits, we have to kill them off too.â
Haibara blinked. Then his mouth widened. âOh, right, right! I forgooooot.â
Nanami shook his head with a faint smile.
And then the smile dropped.Â
âHello! How's everyone doing today~!â Gojo's voice rang to them as he ran up to them while waving his hand.Â
Nanami groaned, looking away. Haibara, meanwhile, beamed.Â
âOh, noon, Gojo senpai! How's your dayâ OH MY GOD, IS THAT A NEW PERSON?!â
Yuvi, walking slower as she followed Gojo, gave him a small smile. Nanami turned. Then raised a brow. âSo Satoru actually convinced Yaga to recruit a person? Wow.â
Gojo gasped. âNanami~ why won't you call me senpai? Look at Haibara; he has such good manners.â
Haibara blinked, looking around. Then he shrugged. âI just have a better tolerance for you than Nanami senpai and othersâŚâ Honest. Too honest.Â
Gojo hissed. Nanami snickered. Yuvi blinked. Then she raised her hand to give the two a wave, smiling softly, as she bowed slightly. âHi. I'm Yuvi Knaiomi. Nice to meet you two.â
Nanami turned, nodding back. âNice to meet you too. I'm Nanami Kento. This is Yu Haibara.â
Haibara waved his hand. âHello!â
Nanami turned back to her. âYou're welcome here. Although Iâd suggest not spending so much time with Satoru over here. He's a bad influence. And the last thing we need is another person with a god complex.â
Gojo gasped. Yuvi chuckled, placing a hand on Gojo's shoulder, before turning to Nanami, smiling. âI mean, he is the one who brought me here, so as of now, I'm closer to him than others. But alright. I'll keep that in mind.â She winked.Â
Nanami stared. Then rolled his eyes. âOh, so she comes with her own god complex. God save us all. Whatever. At least you have better manners than Satoru. Keep that. It'll come in handy around here.â
Haibara chuckled, nudging him. âOh, come on, senpai. Don't be so harsh on the new girl.â
Gojo grinned. âYeah, Nanami, she's just a rookie!â
Yuvi chuckled. Then paused, smiling softly as she pointed between Nanami and Haibara. âUm, so, are you twoââ
Haibara immediately got excited, nodding. âYeah, go on, what do you want to ask?â
Yuvi shrugged. âAre you two like, togetherâŚ??â
Haibara blinked. Then pulled away from Nanami, chuckling as he shook his head. âWoh, wohoâ no. No, we're⌠not.â
Nanami nodded. âHe's right. We're notâ not⌠we're not together.â He cleared his throat. Awkward.Â
Haibara grinned. âWe're just permanent mission partners and great friends.â
Yuvi blinked, then nodded. âOh. Okay. Okay. My bad. I thought you guys wereâ I mean, you two would look great as a couple. But yeah, I get it. That's great. That's greatâŚâ
Haibara beamed, draping his hand over Nanamiâs shoulder. âReally? Thanks!â Nanami shook his head, eyes to himself, embarrassed.Â
Yuvi smiled, nodding. âWell⌠I'll go now, then. I guess. Sorry again!â She said and turned away.
âOh, she's kinda right though, isn't she~â Gojo said as a one last jab to the two before turning and following her.
Gojo nudged Yuvi, grinning. âYou're amazing.â
Yuvi smirked, arms crossed. âTold you. But those two? Hm. I can see them having chemistry.â
Gojo nodded. âComing from a love blesserââ
Yuvi's eyes widened as she put a finger on his lips. âShh. Idiot.â
Gojo blinked. Then grinned. âRightâŚâ
âWho are those two? Long and short hair?â She asked, pointing at a distance where two girls talked, one with short brown hair, wearing the Jujutsu High uniform, the other with black hair tied in pigtails, who wore a miko uniform.Â
Gojo raised a brow, turning. He shrugged. âOh, that? They're my all-time entertainment system. Nameâs Shoko Ieiri and Utahime Iori. Wanna talk to them?â
Yuvi chuckled. âOh, are you kidding? Of course I do. C'mon.â
âIt's been a long time since any of us got time to play any games.âÂ
âPlease, Utahime. You don't even like games.â
âYeah, but anything to spend more time with you and less with that Gojo.â
âLaugh but you literally are right now.â
âYeah, that's trueâŚâ
Gojo grinned. âUtahime~ Shoko~ your favourite person in Jujutsu High is baaack!â
Utahime hissed, shifting away. âToo soon.â
Shoko chuckled, tilting her head. âOh, you brought company? New company? Hah. Who are you?â
Gojo grinned, nudging Yuvi. âShe is my new play toy! Look at her. Isn't she amazing?â
Yuvi shot Gojo a glare before turning to the two, giving them a nod. âActually, I'm a new recruit. Well, frankly, a rookie. I'm here to improve my jujutsu skills.â
Utahime nodded back. âNice to meet you. I hope you don't turn out like Gojo.â
Shoko shrugged, pointing. âEither way. Don't get yourself injured and increase my or my colleagues' work.
Yuvi raised a brow. âYou're⌠a doctor?â
Shoko shrugged. âStill a student. RCT.â
Yuvi nodded. âI seeâŚâ
âAnd what do we have here~?â A voice sang from behind.Â
Yuvi turned. Raising a brow. Looking the girl up and down. She wore a uniform, a mysterious smile across her lips, white hair tied into a pony with long bangs covering either side of her face.Â
Yuvi smirked. âA material girl, apparently.âÂ
Meimei hummed. âOh, but one would think being obsessed with money and power, and being obsessed with material, is a little different. Although. That was more a lack of vocabulary than a lack of perception. How'd you know?â
Utahime rolled her eyes, taking Shoko's hand and running away, dragging her with her.Â
Yuvi chuckled. âOh, I'm just kidding. I'm new here. Freshly recruited. My name's Yuvi.â
Meimei hummed, crossing her arms. âHm. Meimei here. So, you've already met Gojo, I see?âÂ
Gojo grinned. Yuvi shrugged. âActually, he got me here.â
Meimei nodded. âHm. So he helped you get into Jujutsu High, huh.â
Gojo chuckled nervously. Yuvi gave him a nudge behind his back, as a âshut it, I can handle this.â before speaking up. âYeah, he helped me a lot. I needed a place to sharpen my skills. Not easy to be recruited by an institute like this.â
Meimei hummed. âOh, I see how it is. Well then, I guess you're going to have to improve a lot. I'm gonna keep a watch on you.â She said, and then walked away.Â
Gojo shrugged. Turning to Yuvi. âWell⌠she's gonna keep a watch on you~âÂ
Yuvi chuckled, grinning. âOh, it's alright. She's just being cryptic. But hey, I've gotta say, you've got some people in this place, man. They're all one of their own.â
Gojo shrugged. âWhat can I say? Great guys live in good company.â
Yuvi rolled her eyes with a smile. âSure, whatever.â
Just then, Gojoâs phone got a message. He pulled the phone out of his pocket, flipping it open. He squinted. Then grinned. âWell. Sounds like you got a testing mission assigned.â
Yuvi raised a brow. âA test mission?â
Gojo nodded. Grinning. âTo see if you can even handle yourself against curses, or did they just adopt a baby with no skills. And I'll be there as backup. Don't worry, it'll be an easy mission, rookie.â
Yuvi rolled her eyes, shooting him a glare. âGojo⌠ugh. Let's leave campus first. Then we'll talk about this.â
Gojo shrugged. âKayyyyâ
Then, Gojo and Yuvi started walking to the main gate of Jujutsu Highâs campus to leave for this âtest missionâ, since they didn't have any other plans yet. With Gojo walking forward as always.Â
Yuvi was inside her head. Annoyed by Gojo's jokes. He talks as if she's an actual rookie. Tch. There are a few things she'd like to share about how she's gonna deal with all the missions while here as a âstudentâ, likeâ
Yuvi felt herself bump into someone and fell off balance, collapsing onto the wet ground by the entrance, a few sheets of paper scattered around her.Â
She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even notice a person was coming in from the other side of the gate. If only there weren't these stupid high walls on each side of the entrance, she could've seen them in time. Why were there walls like that? That's such a hazardâ right. To protect the place. Obviously. Tch. Disoriented, she started picking up the files without even looking up once after that bumpâ
Yuvi blinked. Five sheets in hand. Two still on the ground. She looked up.Â
There stood the guy, about Gojo's age, wearing a uniform like his, black hair tied into a small pony, though a few faint strands had scattered over his face. A pair of brown eyes looking back at her. A smile on his face. One hand extended to her to help her stand up, the other brushing off his clothes. His voice sweet and calm.
âIt's alright. I'll get my papers. Just watch where you're headed next time.â He said with a smile.Â
Yuvi just stared up at him, frozen. After a long six seconds, she blinked, looking around, as she stood up, clearing her throat. âOh, rightâ Iâ sorry. For that. I was lost in thought. Here are your filesââ she said as she picked up all the papers from the ground, handing them over to the guy. âWell, that was bad. Um. Hi. I'm Yuvi Knaiomi. I'm a new recruit here, Gojo recommended me to the school.â
She glanced at Gojo. Shooting him a sharp look as if saying, âAre you gonna start mediating or?!â
Gojo chuckled, grinning as he walked up to the guy. âOh, this? He's just my best buddy. Suguru Geto. Geto, you already met her. She's Yuvi.â
Geto nodded at Gojo's words, smiling as he turned to her. âWell, it's nice to meet you, Yuvi. The first day jitters then, huh?â
Yuvi blinked. âWhat are⌠jitters?â
Geto stared. Then he chuckled, shaking his head with a smile. âYou and your new theatrics every day, Satoru. Go help her finish her day's work, I guess. I'll be off too now, gotta take these files. Bye, you two.â He said and then left.Â
Yuvi's eyes followed his walking-away silhouette before she felt Gojo nudge her. âLet's go?â
Yuvi inhaled sharply, a forced smile spreading across her lips. âOkay, let's get going.â
The two stepped out of the campus gate, walking down the road. Yuvi was still in her head, it seemed, her hand subconsciously reaching over her chest to calm her heartbeat. âWow. Who is that guy?â
Gojo raised a brow. âYou mean Suguru?â
Yuvi blinked, turning as she chuckled sheepishly. âRight. You already told me that back there. Let's go, let's go.â
A beat. Gojo stopped in his tracks. Eyes widening, and so did his grin. âOhhh~? Did the love blesser just feel a little love back there? For my best friend?!â
