Ok for the sake of my limited time this weekend, I’m gonna ask. (Boss help request)
Does the secret boss from Chapter 5 have an easy defeat like Miss Moffet from Undertale? Like a specific food you can give to end the fight earlier? Or a food that helps the fight?

wanna do the weird route in deltarune once chapter 7 is out can anyone lovingly give me their weird route save file with chapters 3 and 4 completed??? I dont mind if chapter 5 is also complete I just dont wanna replay the whoooole game
Why did the egg man in my copy of Deltarune tell me not to look for him anymore while other people are getting that weird but positively dialogue where he points into the distance to show that there are more of him??
Did I do something wrong?? Do I need to fix something?? Help??
is there anyone I could send my Deltarune save to because I’m struggling with Snowgrave spamton and I really wanna finish it before chapter 5 comes out…
… if you can pls dm me if you can that would be nice <3
can someone help me understand how deltarune save files work?
i meant to save on an empty save file after starting chapter 3 but through muscle memory just overrode my existing save file. if i want to start chapter 3 over after completing chapters 1&2, what carries over into chapter 3?
i noticed all my items were missing when i first tried this. is that to be expected?

I KNOW I missed so much playing through the first time, since I didn't recruit everyone at the end of chap 2. I know there are secret bosses (like Jevil from chap 1 and Spamton??) but I don't know how to unlock them. Once I finish chap 4, I'm gonna go through and replay the game.
Anyone have any tips/steps to follow? No spoilers for chap 4 since I'm not done with that just yet, but tips for chap 1-3 are very appreciated. (aka I see Spamton stuff everywhere but I don't understand the HYPE WHERE IS HE)
For those that have fully completed Chapter 4, can someone tell me which is better to go with from Ch3 onwards: Jevilstail or Devilsknife?
I know both are going to be outpaced by other weapons and armors in later chapters, but I do want to know which is the better option to go with as I prepare for a serious run through Ch2. I keep hearing different takes when I try to look up people's opinions, and I know that it definitely depends on how you want to run your saves (purely defensive would mean needing the armors and mostly attacking would mean the weapon options from Ch1+2 bosses), and that's not even taking into consideration the Snowgrave run either.
My original plan was to take Devilsknife as my true run through Ch3 at least because the 40TP cost for Rude Buster feels so much more useful for the fight y'all know about to me, especially since I plan on letting Susie have the item needed for that particular fight anyway, and I planned on having Dealmaker as an armor option going forward anyway.
However I also know it's foolish to plan the entirety of the rest of the game around ONE boss fight that takes place not even at the halfway point of the game as a whole (since we have 7 planned chapters, dedicating the main file to be for a Ch3 boss instead of trying to plan ahead is silly) and I know that there are builds that you can go for if you're smart with gear to make a run where Rude Buster is still 50TP just as useful as with 40TP, as there's stuff to help you increase how much TP you make in a turn. (Though I'm also seeing now that there's been some changes to certain items to decrease the amount of TP you get when they're equipped?)
That being said, I was also heavily considering using Jevilstail as the item on the save file for when I go for the Snowgrave route since I do know that doing SG means you CAN'T get the item for that Ch3 fight and having the armor bonus seems more useful for the SG route than a weapon that I think the player is unable to even use?
But I'd like to know people's thoughts who have made it through all the stuff for Ch4 (without spoiling events please). So far a lot of the things that I have seen people talk about online when I was trying to find this answer out on my own has only been with people talking about doing a purely defensive and pacifist run for the game, so most things I've seen have assumed that you aren't even doing a SG file period, let alone have even beaten the Ch1+2 secrets with violence.
You can see in the cut under this WHY I am specifically asking this kind of thing and it's all just to do with me being completely insane with wanting to get a full experience with the game but needing to stick to just the three save files we get to have for the entire game.
My plan for the game was to have a save file for a casual run, a save file for a Snowgrave run (including all the optional encounters you'd be able to have after that), and a save file for a run where I did all the optional encounters as a potential True End file under the assumption that Toby has changed to the possibility of having more than one actual ending for the game (as I know originally Toby was saying there would only be one ending, but as of right now the store page says "… only 1 ending…?" which implies that Toby may actually have at least 2 endings for the game). This final file would end up going with whatever optional route reward was the best case for each chapter that has multiple potential rewards (ex. ch1 and 2 both having 2 on a non-Snowgrave run).
Honestly all of this does make me wish that Toby was allowing us to have 3 save files for EACH chapter clear option like I had originally assumed when I did a casual run through chapter 2 before I was corrected when I decided to try a run after doing a stream file for chapter 1.
Like when chapter 2 first came out I assumed that with the three save files there, we'd get to have one for EACH chapter 1 clear data, and that you'd only be able to access three at a time. Basically Ch1 Clear A would have 3 saves for Ch2, Clear B would have another 3, and Clear C would again have 3 for a total of 9 possible Ch2 clear data options.
That being said, I do understand WHY that could have never actually been the case, since doing that would mean that Ch3 would have 27 possible clear data options and Ch4 would have 81 and that's just too many to program into a game since by the time we'd hit Ch7 we'd have 729 total clear data options from a Ch6 file. And that's insane. So I do understand WHY there's a maximum of 3 saves from Ch2 onward. I just wish I had more save options because I am the kind of person that wants to fully complete this kind of game and that means exploring literally every option.
A control option where you just do a purely neutral run without ever dealing with the secrets or optional stuff for each chapter
Beating the secret/optional stuff through pure pacifism
Beating the secret/optional stuff through pure violence
Beating the entire non-optional stuff through pure violence
Mixing and matching the various above options.
Which would mean that yes, I would indeed likely go through the full maximum of 2,187 potential clear data for an entire 7 chapter game (I know it's likely that you could actually reduce that number by not counting all of the casual play stuff as separate clears and only focusing on the options that would have different impacts on the later chapters, but I do not have the math smarts to figure out what the actual number would end up being.) and that's all just assuming that there's only three options for each chapter, which chapter 2 ALREADY disproves since that has the potential of Casual, Casual + Secret w/Pacifism, Casual + Secret w/Violence, and Snowgrave, and that's just from a single casual run of Ch1 without even the option of going with a purely violent run through the Ch2 before you have the option to start the SG route, so in actuality there's more like 6 or 7 potential runs if you want to include a pure violent run instead of just always showing mercy and not recruit anything. So there's likely even MORE potential variations for the story than just 2,187, that was just the number I came to if we were to have 3 save slots for each chapter's clear data files.
But yeah, I am the absolute crazy person who wants to find all the potential lore implications and options for things since I'm also the insane completionist who says that if you really want to get a full 100% run on Undertale (barring the various phonecall endings you get for showing mercy or violence to the different monsters and bosses), then you're looking at 4 full runs: Neutral, Pacifist, Genocide, Pacifist post GR, as there is that difference on a Pacifist run after you've completed the GR. (Pacifist in this case specifically being True End since you can be purely pacifist for your first run of the game and you will still end with the Neutral ending first)
