Deltarune iliad and odyssey AU anyone?

(Yes im insane and this is only the first draft)

The world of mythology is a messy grey area. The Greeks knew that, and we all know that.

The Greeks loved their heroes, but of course, glory didn't come without bloodshed and crimes against humanity. Such ways were why their heroes rarely ever had a so-called 'happy ending'.

Bard sing songs and poems, immortalizing our heroes and their heroic deeds, as it was the norm for the time. If we out it in modern times, they'd range from mildly concerning to downright horrifying.

Ah, such were the ways of the heroes of ancient Greece. In which DeltaMythos will sample and rewrite its stories.

What is DeltaMythos?

DeltaMythos is an AU that mixes Greek mythology and classical epic poems with our beloved game Deltarune.

Any character can be casted into anyone if the stories so asked for them. To make an example:

The Iliad: Susie can be Diomedes of Argos. Or I can also cast her and Noelle as Menelaus and Helen.

The Odyssey: If I cast Kris as Odysseus, the Soul/Player can be Athena.

Myth of the gods: I would cast Ralsei as Tyche, Hekate, or Theia, and Berdly as Nike.

As long as the stories fit, the characters can be anything. The only limit is your chosen storyline.

The general guideline

1. Do your research on your stories!

It's important to balance between story accuracy and fun, lighthearted twists on the characters. Of course, I don't force you to follow the story completely, we all know how messy the ancient Greeks wrote about their gods and heroes. At the very least, get your information from reliable sources, you can add headcanons after your characters are sorted out.

2. Nothing is canon!

This is a given, even the old stories have multiple variations as it was told orally. Do pay attention for its source though, nothing's wrong with finding your sources through Roman myths, but the Romans and the Greeks have clear different views on their deities and heroes. (coughs in odysseus and ulysses)

3. Have fun!

The world of Greek mythos and classicals are vast, you can always explore them at your own speed and interests. I trust our hellsite dwellers will be civil and friendly if someone needs further information on certain topics.
