Mimosa:what are you struggling with right now?

I’m trying to cope with the stress my work puts me under right now and money is always an issue for several reasons.

Rosemary:what cartoons did you grow up with?

I wasn’t allowed to watch a lot of TV when I was a kid, so I didn’t really grow up watching cartoons. I watched Sesame Street and two German shows:

1. Die Sendung mit der Maus, which is an educational show that also has cartoon clips. I actually had a plushie of the mouse :)

2. Das Sandmännchen, a 10 minute daily show that airs before bedtime. It has different cartoon segments, this one is my favorite:

I couldn’t find an entire episode with Piggeldy & Frederick, so here is one with a claymation segment:

When Germany was separated, there was a version of this show in the east and in the west. This is a GDR (eastern) one.
