Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines
"Before Woods I didn’t know what I was living for. In my search to find myself, I’d found so much more. I knew now why I wanted to live. I understood love. I had found it."Â
My goodness, what is that?! It’s beautiful that’s what that is.Â
So this is kind of a spin off series from the Too Far series by Abbi Glines where we met Rush and Blaire and that ended happily ever after.Â
This book has much more complexity- we have Della who was pretty much held in solitary confinement her whole life with her mentally unstable mother and we have Woods who’s the hottie who runs the country club in Rosemary.Â
It was so angering because Woods was supposed to marry the bitch from hell, oh sorry! Angelina. She is such a conniving little wench! I mean, come on. The guy doesn’t like you- move on and stop trying to please your parents.Â
I’m happy for Woods, he finally escaped from the depth of his parent’s claws and grew up. yeah, he wanted the position but then again it wasn’t worth it to him to lose Della.
I loved Della- she had gone through so much in her life yet she still held this essence about her that was comforting and just genuine. She was a good girl but she held a lot of issues, scars that wouldn’t heal and the never ending fear that she would become her mother. It’s scary, though. I mean, the way that she had to deal with her mentally unstable mother and then live with the fear of becoming that….it’s awful.Â
Woods was so good to her though, he took care of her and made sure she had everything she needed. Their relationship wasn’t only physical- it was deeply emotional. A deep rooted love that they realized was the only thing keeping them fighting for each other.Â
I loved their story! looking forward to the sequel (:Â
