I got an ask about my wish list! Hereās a link for it! Feel free to check it out (or not!) Iām gonna update it some tonight. If you canāt decide on a gift but wanna give some moolah thereās a cash donate button! Woot woot!
Yo be careful with Delivery Code. I had an issue with Delivery Code a while ago that is making me consider not using it anymore. A member gifted me a toy off my wishlist and I received it with no problems, but one of the parts was defective. I contacted the manufacturer for a replacement, and they needed the billing and shipping information, so I combined the email to include the Delivery Code customer support as well. Delivery Code responded to the email with the full name, address, and (1/2)
(2/2) phone number of the member who bought the item for me, as well as my shipping information (but I had requested that.) I was just surprised how easily they let that information out! If I was a member, I would want my privacy protected just as much as the modelās! A company that lax with customer privacy is definitely something to watch out for.
I donāt think there is an online payment platform in existence that meaningfully shields the information that the consumer gives (in this case, thatās your client) from the provider (in this case, thatās you), unless they take pains on their end to hide it (eg, on paypal, send money from a business account). Ā The onus is on the business/provider to be ethical and responsible with that information, particularly in this case, where weāre not talking about credit card details or anything like that. Ā This is good information to have out there, but I donāt think it really constitutesĀ ālaxnessā in Delivery Codeās security. Ā
