Delic/fem!Roppi One-shot
"Get the fuck out of my apartment, Delic."
"Roppi--"
"I said, get out."
"Roppi, please, just let me--"
"For fuck's sake, Delic, I said leave!" Roppi rarely raised her voice to anyone. This was the first time, in fact, that he had ever seen her temper flare like this, and from the mix of rage and hurt that burned so strongly in the crimson eyes of the ravenette, Delic knew just how badly he had fucked up. He could see that he had caused an irreparable damage to their relationship, but he had to try. If he didn't try to make this woman that he adored understand that he had fucked up, he knew, but he was more sorry than he had ever been about anything, what was the point of any of this?
"Roppi..." Delic began, but found himself lacking the words he wanted so desperately to tell her. An apology wouldn't be enough to make up for betraying her trust like this. From the start, he'd known that Roppi didn't put faith in someone lightly...and he hadn't ever, ever wanted to hurt her. For him to do something like this...it must have felt like a completely slap in the face and he knew he deserved every bit of Roppi's wrath.
He needed her to understand, though.
On impulse, his hands seized Roppi's shoulders--not tightly, of course--bringing the ravenette close to him so he could look her in the eye. "Roppi, why would I spend so much time with you if I didn't want to be with you?" In an instant, there was the briefest flash of fear in her eyes before she flinched away from him, the rage returning a moment later as he noticed, heart-breakingly, the tears forming in her eyes.
"If you wanted to be with me, you wouldn't do shit like that!!" Roppi practically screamed at the blond, making him flinch and grimace just a bit from the force of her words, then shrink away from her just a bit. Crimson eyes stared up at him in an accusing glare, as if questioned just why he would do something like this. Or, well, that was, perhaps, what he was asking himself. He hated seeing her so hurt. He hated it even more, knowing he had been the one to cause those tears that threatened to roll down her pale cheeks.
He hated himself for causing her pain, when he had been the one to promise that he would never hurt her.
Her small chest heaved, most of her rage spent in that one, angry sentence that she screamed out--as Delic watched, he could see all of the conflicting emotions pass over her features, overwhelming her, and his heart broke to see the woman he loved break down right before him, but knowing that he could do nothing to ease the pain she was feeling.
"I-I..." Roppi spoke shakily, bringing one of her small hands up to dry her eyes. "I trusted you, Delic, and...h-how...how c-could you do this t-to me...?" Delic remained silent, only able to watch as his lover attempted to dry the tears that trailed down her cheeks. What could he say? There was no excuse that would make this okay again. He'd fucked up terribly and there was no way to explain himself.
Roppi's gaze finally turned from him. "Please, just...j-just go...I can't see you right now..." This would be agonizing no matter what she did. Letting him leave would absolutely break her heart, but she knew if she let him stay, she would crawl right back to him, because she was just that pathetically dependent on this man that had hurt her like this. She didn't look at him, even as she heard his reply.
"Okay," Delic responded after several moments, and Roppi heard his footsteps heading towards the front door of her apartment. "Okay, Roppi. I'm leaving." A moment later, she heard the front door close--
--and, as she felt the energy in her legs suddenly leave her, she collapsed to the floor and promptly broke down.
Never had the ravenette felt so idiotic, being reduced to nothing but a sobbing mess over a man that had cheated on her. She was an idiot, wasn't she, for allowing herself to grow close to someone like this, when she knew, in her heart, that she would only wind up hurt in the end. But, she had wanted to believe that he wouldn't be like that--she'd wanted to trust Delic. She had trusted Delic, then...
Then, in the end, she only received a fresh reminder of why she hadn't put her trust in someone in the first place.
Just...she hadn't expected it to hurt this much. But, it did hurt--it hurt so fucking much and Roppi could hardly stand it.
She'd been in love with him, after all.
