The shifter didn't know much about tea, but he certainly knew beignets. "Baked beignets, huh?" Muttered quietly to himself, peering over the display case, pulling his sunglasses down just enough to get a better look at them. He'd never had them baked before, it was the only reason he bothered coming into the tea shop to begin with. He knew the area and the word on the street from criminal activity to just about anything else.

Delcan straightened himself out, pushing his sunglasses back into place with his ring finger before heading over to the register. "Biggest cup of whatever is closest to black coffee, three of those beignets... and you know what, throw in half a dozen assorted cookies."

Another warehouse party he’d rather not be at, but he had to protect his investments. A brow raised behind dark sunglasses. He was fairly certain he knew of the woman at the makeshift bar. He wouldn’t be doing his due diligence if he didn’t find out. He made his way over, ordering a shitty drink that he was pretty sure was the cheapest shit he had in a while. He took a drink and a made a face at the taste. He was right, it was shit. It wasn’t his booze and he drank on the house for hosting the damn thing, so he couldn’t really complain.

3. How does your OC feel about cold weather?Oliver: He half-hates it. He doesn’t like it, but he likes it more than super hot weather.Declan: He likes it in Aspela lol. Elowyn: She is used to it and doesn’t get cold easily. There’s a legend that people in the sun tribe are never cold if the sun is out.Vespera: Like Declan, she doesn’t like it in Dreyland. Dreyland is already hard enough to live in and cold weather just makes finding food even harder.Kalliope: She likes it but worries about her horse during really cold weather.Maeone: Indifferent

How well do they do?Oliver: He would probably have to hold onto someone the whole time, and he’d be real pouty about needing help too.Declan: After getting used to how staying balanced works, I think he’d be super good at it.Elowyn: She’d be elegant as FUCKVespera: She’d fall and immediately leave the rink.Kalliope: She’d be determined to be good but would never really get the hang of it.Maeone: I think she’d be alright. She’d probably enjoy cutting closely in front of people so they freak out and fall.  

“Shit....” Del hissed to himself. While he could believe what he just witnessed, he didn’t want to see it either. He wasn’t safe here, or so he thought. Was that girl a hunter? He thought he left no trail. He must have made a mistake.

He felt his mouth go dry, finding it hard to swallow. Don’t panic. That will get you caught. He took a deep breath before he made a break for it, using his inhuman speed to get to the next place he could find cover.

He was ready to fight if he had to, but he had no weapons, only brute force. That worked to his advantage sometimes. He looked a lot weaker than he actually was. If she never encountered a shifter before, he could have a leg up.

A new town, a new face. Hopefully he could actually stay put for a while. He hated having to change his form. It always hurt. Del was just so tired of being on the move. It was difficult finding places to stay. For now, he’d stay in the woods.

He finished washing off the blood from his shift, then hiding what was left of his old self in a hole, covering it with dirt and leaves. While he had the extra strength, he wasn’t graced with an inhuman sense of smell. If he had, he might have noticed how much these woods smelled like wolves. He had no idea the town he happened upon was a bit of a supernatural central.
