I went to read what this delayed decoding means again and it fits the madja scene to the T.
First ss last sentence..."it is limited to the consciousness of the fictional observer"
Feyre is our observer. We see her realize that their(azriel's) understanding caused elain to get back to herself but what feyre didnt realize it..."only a mate could understand" so we are left in a limbo until the observer(in this case the pov character) realises that "yes it was a mate understand" and us as the reader would not understand what the text is saying to us.
And second screenshot explain "why" we havent made that observation yet in the story. Bc it is yet to be revealed in elain's story. It is just perfect. I love this.
