Finished the respirator. Used a dust mask as a base as it didn’t work so well for my actual sanding, so now it is a costume. Details done with foam and contour paint :з

And hmm, it really depends on what you mean by “quits,” because if we’re just talking about Marinette no longer being Ladybug/getting out of the situation, I have a few (keep in mind that all of these are Lukanette, though Luckier Without specifically can be read as just the first chapter if you don’t want Lukanette content; it works as a oneshot).

Quit

Breaking the Cycle (starts after Marinette has already quit; leans on crack-ish side in terms of concept since it’s mostly just for catharsis and for the thing people always say of “Marinette should just leave Paris/everyone”)

Luckier Without (chapter one is a callout fic at Chat Noir specifically where she decides to quit, then chapter two is a Lukanette continuation where Marinette decides how she’s going to deal with the memory loss)

“Fired”

Memory Serves (”Furious Fu” alternative where she goes through with the memory wipe and thus stops being both guardian and Ladybug; has a fluffy bonus)

Ambiguous (not explicitly stated whether she quit or was “fired”)

Memari Loss (the story starts when Marinette having already lost her memory, and it’s never stated how or why she lost it, especially since it’s from Luka’s perspective)

All of these have a happy/hopeful ending, for the record. Luckier Without is probably the saddest but I would still consider it a hopeful enough ending.

If meaning that Luka is a respectful, empathetic, and forgiving individual who knows that the girl he loves is going through a lot and - regardless of anything - wants her to make her own decisions and be happy, rather than him making everything about himself or throwing a tantrum because she doesn’t validate him 100% of the time? Sure.

Not to mention the fact that “simp” has been used as an opposite to “chad,” a word bleeding with the obnoxiousness of “““alpha males”““ who think that “only men who’ve had sex are true men,” making “simps” “passive virgins who will do anything to get a woman” in their eyes just by comparison.

In reality, the term is incredibly overused and I don’t miss the kinds of people who would use the term as an insult simply for the reason that the man treats the woman “““overly nicely”““ (like--what???) and isn’t willing to force himself on her, which automatically means that he’s desperate and pathetic. Never mind that Luka has always been incredibly clear and honest that he’d be happy to date Marinette but is also content with their friendship and won’t ask more of her.

But it’s all too common to make the sweetheart out to have “ulterior motives” or think that he’s “just biding his time” because entitled men can’t stand the thought  that the man who always makes sure that the woman is comfortable and never wants to degrade her might--*gasp* have a point and be the better one for her.

Someone would have to explain to me how mobile links work.
