You can’t help but sigh and shake your head as you pocket your phone, heading towards your closet to gather your own coat and some gloves, though you really didn’t need much to keep warm. However, you grab a scarf and, upon further thought, another sweater for John, just in case. You don’t know what he wandered off in, but you figure it’s better to be prepared. You tuck it under your arm and head out into the cold streets to search for him.
You don’t live far enough north to have too much snow just yet, but there’s a light blanket that fell over the night before, though most of it has been parted on either sides of the cobblestone streets from pedestrians walking through it and the occasional vehicle. You brush it off of your mailbox on your way out.
It doesn’t take you too long to find him, really, but you still put on a show to seem bothered to have gone out of your way. The slight grin on your face, however, probably gives you away in your poking fun at his lack of coordination. You hand over the scarf and sweater to him, raising an eyebrow. “Bet you don’t even know the way to the cafe from here, do you.”
