Lettering
I had a tutorial with my tutor and I didn’t have an idea where I was going with my project, I had created a few drafts of a final piece but they weren’t communicating in the way I wanted they seemed plain and wouldn’t gain any attention. I showed my tutor my sketchbook and I was told I should do a final piece inspired by the typography one day brief. I had previously found some scary facts about smoking so I created a piece using the type Dynamo Shadow I used in the one day brief of the fact
‘This 16 year old will shorten his life by two hours and 15 minutes today’
This quote was based on the fact every cigarette you smoke you shorten your life by nine minutes, and on average people smoke 15 cigarettes a day which equals to two hours and 1 minutes of your life shortened in a day.
I scanned my work in and played around with it in photoshop by changing the scale, the opacity, the fill and colour.

This is the type after I joined them together to make a graffiti/grunge style type in order to help with the narrative of my final piece.
